Novacane for the pain

Ermm, despite all the hatred here I actually loved it. It's my favourite saga. I'm glad Kid Trunks wasn't a copy of his Future counterpart. Goten was funny, it was more relaxed and less intense. I was actually able to laugh at some moments in it. Fusion was a cool idea and (despite not being overly original) I liked SSJ3.

Buu Saga rules!

I totally agree, apart from the Cell Saga, the Buu Saga is the best thing to happen to Dragon Ball Z.

i don't think it deserves all the hate it gets, but I didn't really like it that much. It may be a little underrated but not really

I think it's overrated by the common fan. The mix of love and hate it has from the more hardcore fans is pretty much deserved in my opinion.

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

I don't believe in power levels after the Frieza Saga. :D
Now, there's an idea.

The DBZ Buu Saga was a good one. It has some of the coolest action, Fusions, excellent characterizations esp Vegeta, Mr. Satan, Buu etc. Besides, plot-wise, it was quite different: almost like coming full-circle. Vegeta & Goku's companionship, together to fight off the most deadliest villain in history. The execution, especially Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu etc as the ultimate villain was well done.

The Buu saga is just atrocious in the Funi dub but in the original Japanese anime it's tolerable IMO. It's still the most inferior saga in my opinion and cannot come close to matching the Cell or Freeza arcs.

Buu was not a villain on par with Cell or Freeza's personality, the minor villains were all crappy as well (Dabura Pui Pui and Babidi? Mehh). Buu was all just a Cell..he absorbed and regenerated..but at least Cell couldnt just absorb anything and didnt regenerate a hundred freakin times. I think Cell used regeneration maybe 4 times the whole series.

The introduction of Goten, Kid Trunks, and Gotenks was annoying..all very annoying characters IMO. Future Trunks was so much more likeable to Kid Trunks.

Another think that sucked is Piccolo became completely irrelevant. At least for the first half of the Cell arc he was right with everyone in the middle of the action and his power was still fearsome. Buu saga he's just fodder.

And Gohan, teen Gohan sucked, he couldn't compare to the Gohan that fought Cell.

So yeah the Buu arc really was deteriorated compared to the other arcs IMO. About the only thing I liked in the whole arc was Super Vegetto..that's it.
Well, I don't like you said that the Funi dub sucked, and that the japanese dub was better somehow, but I agree with you on the rest. Poor Piccolo.

Reverse that statement and you've got how people feel about your posts in the Kai threads.
