Posts: 146 Group: Member Member #5,633 Joined: January 18, 2011 Favourite Anime Dragon Ball Kai, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Naruto	That's the thing about movie fights... they always have the Z-Fighters fight in their base form, even though, in the series, they'd never last a minute fighting a SSJ, or higher, enemy like that. I take those fights with a grain of salt, as the Manga's pretty clear as to where their strength and energy levels are. It's almost impossible to compare, as Akira put a lot more thought into these things than those that produced and wrote most of the movies.

He had the power. So it would seem easier to assume they are both stronger, when in fact there progression levels hadnt changed. Gohan being able to fend off broly in base is a feat everyone watched, it cant be denied. in so saying? brolys base is no match for gohans, toei knew this so made broly an ssj automatically, theres just one prob, the daiz said broly was stronger than gokus mssj buu saga, but so was gohan post z sword. The timelines correlate but dont play off one another, in this instance i think that toei itself in the movie made it so that gohan could keep his strength level, AND give broly a bigger Lssj multiplier, which is probably where the extent of the zenkai went. It just seems like a translation for the character that was read wrong, cause illusionaire is right, its easy to mistake them both for being ridiculously powerful because NO one is gonna believe they hadnt changed. so heres my theory, gohan got stronger aas he was supposed to, was it through constant training? maybe but since he didnt/couldnt have had ssj2 without the rosat training? im actually thinking that maybe toei tried to retell the story of gohan going ssj2 against a broly who got an even higher LSSJ multiplier from the power up. As we all know, kid gohan could take on broly for sure, but he wouldnt win. The adults have a better chance of winning as at maximum they are both well above kid gohans max power. BUT if gohan did keep training all those years then hell yeah his MSSJ multiplier would be higher as that is his destiny, so its more than possible his mSSJ in movie 10 was more than a match for perfect cell, he could probably take cell in base at this time. going ssj2 without a real template for gohans drawn characteristics could explain this also. Its just a theory though. In my changed opinion? nothing really changed, except for brolys LSSJ, which in MY mind was the point of the whole movie in the first place. Goku is dead and should be well into mastering his ss2 form before finding ssj3, no indication of that in the movie, but rest assured? goku should have been able to do it himself, so maybe this was that (SPC pep talk?) gohan probably needed in order to dig down and find his own super power. Im in the belief gokus role at the end wasnt that extensive, the DB's brought goku in and broly saw him. But just like in movie 9, all goku could really do was sock(distract) bojack and then talk to gohan. Same thing here. Pep talk for gohan, he digs and finds his inner power, takes broly out along with goten. Its the cell fight all over again, and sensationalized for a movie. IMO the only thing different is brolys LSSJ. which; once again could POSSIBLY explain why gohan could keep up in base.
