I don't think Vegeta at base does muc hto Cell by way of complete distraction, especially when Gohan's on the butt end of a losing Kamehameha struggle. The momentum alone would have assured Cell's victory if Gohan's all-out power was weaker than the power Cell showed. SSJ Gohan (Kamehameha, injured) <<< Super Perfect Cell << SSJ2 Gohan (All Out) SSJ Gohan (Kamehameha, injured) <<< SSJ2 Gohan (At Perfect Cell) << SSJ2 Gohan (All Out) Super Perfect Cell ? SSJ2 Gohan (At Perfect Cell)[1] But, I'm the guy that, ironically, thinks Gohan wasn't at full strength until he was injured and firing his cannon :3 . So, yeah. I suppose Gohan and Cell would be fair enough; neither of them would have been overwhelmed by the other; otherwise Gohan would not have been hurt by Cell, and Cell wouldn't have been overpowered at the end, but Gohan would be able to end it well enough with full power, if he needed. [1] ? - relational operator; it means "comparable," or specifically, neither fighter would overpower the other, though there is the possibly of one having the advantage |

ironically? i believ this to be true as well. That was the epic moment when gohan opened up FULLY his true well of power. Vegetas big bang did othing more than make cell surprised he was still alive. All of the OTHER guys were still firing as well. NO effect. It was at THAT moment goku was watching and had been coaching gohan in the corner, in all reality gohan was the ONLY person who even knew goku was there. Goku pushed gohan, he knows how. Goku got out gohans final max power and pushed it out at SPC, SPC was QUICKLY overwhelmed by the blunt force of such a puch and the continuous rush of ki. Both the comic AND anime is explicit in showing this, I really dont see why you guys are thinking otherwise. Injured gohan> everyone [1] ? - relational operator; it means "comparable," or specifically, neither fighter would overpower the other, though there is the possibly of one having the advantage |

Scenario 1: Gohan with arm injury + Goku motivation + Vegeta's help > Hit and distracted Super Perfect Cell Scenario 2: FP SSJ2 Gohan but emotional drained < Confident Super Perfect Cell Super Perfect Cell would have won only due to Gohan not having any will to win the battle. If he does it's scenario 1 all over again. |

why do people believe cell was distracted? what kind of an excuse IS that? Cell didnt get distracted or hurt from anything. He was talking to those guys THE WHOLE TIME. He didnt miss a beat. he couldnt defend against the rush of sudden power from gohan and SPC was at full strength and pushing so lets not get it confused, his overconfidence didnt get him killed, gohan did. |

The kind that comes straight from the manga. Vegeta blasted Cell and Cell looked away, thus he was distracted.
While it may not have hurt him it certainly distracted him and definitely bothered him, you can tell by the look on his face when he gets hit.
Uh what guys? Are you talking about the filler where everyone else attacks Cell? It doesn't count in debates... Only Vegeta ever attacked Cell in the manga.
If Vegeta had nothing to do with it then why did Toriyama even add him in? He just added a random scene of Vegeta doing basically nothing and just happened to let Gohan kill Cell straight after Cell was looking away after Vegeta hit him? Wow, what a huge coincidence! It was clear it was Vegeta's distraction that led to Cell's death, to say it wasn't is just flat out ignoring what happened in the Manga. Edited by Clearin, Dec 30 2011, 01:53 PM.

Agreed, I do think Vegeta's distraction was a vital part of the kamehameha struggle, I think Goku pushed Gohan to reach for his inner and remaining power at the exact second as to make Cell not able to charge his beam in time to keep up. I also think that if wasn't for Vegeta and Gohan injuring his arm protecting him, Super Perfect Cell would've been defeated by Gohan at full power, how easy he would go down I can't say though. |

I'm pretty sure that if SSJ2 Gohan Stood a CHANCE against Cell BEFORE Vegeta intervened with his arm all pwned then Heres this logic: SSJ2 Gohan W/armpwned < Cell Perfected >Super Vegeta's blast. Now heres another logic; SSJ2 Gohan W/ArmUnpwned > Cell perfected > Super Vegetas blast. SSJ2 Gohan W/Arm Unpwned >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...Super Vegetas blast. See the gap? Gohans power was cut in half with the injury. Without the injury its multiplied. |

I'd have a hard time believing that Gohan would have been able to overcome being on the butt-end of a Kamehameha that would have destroyed the solar system if he wasn't stronger than the force that caused regardless of even if Cell had slacked on pushing. There was still the full momentum of the attack in Cell's favor; Gohan has to push harder than all of that just to gain ground, no less overcome it all together. We all have our opinions, I suppose. |

If he beat a Kamehameha that destroyed the solar system why didn't his Kamehameha destroy the solar system? I rest my case. This proves the anime fails. |

But he would have to have a Kamehameha to destroy the solar system to beat ANOTHER Kamehameha to destroy the solar system. Correct? |

not if Cell's was aimed at towards the sun and Gohan's wasn't . Then Gohan's would have just dissipated out into space, like a friendly Kamehameha should.

Because Cell was probably aiming for the Sun/some other star. Gohan cut off his Kamehameha as soon as it completely destroyed Cell. |

Gohan could have been conveniently in between the Cell and the Sun. Or maybe Cell wasn't gonna destroy the Solar System; just because the Kamehameha had the power to destroy the solar system, doesn't mean that it has to >_> |
