Ok, in the Namek saga, Vegeta states over and over that every time a Sayian loses and recovers, their power gets a huge boost.. Now in Trunks' future, Gohan had been fighting the androids and losing for 13 years, with all that losing, adding in his training and his hidden power, shouldn't he have been able to beat them after 13 years?
And Androids 17 and 18 were human originally, and they weren't really killers in the anime timeline, what made them that way in the History of Trunks?
And why did King Yemma decide to send Vegeta back during the buu saga, but not send Vegeta or Goku back during the Androids attack?
Tell me Kakorot, Is it slavery when you get what you want?

There were no longer Senzu beans, nor were there any Dragon Balls, so Gohan probably wasn't having miraculous and instant recoveries and he probably wasn't gungho about getting into fights with the duo since there was a good chance that he'd kick the can.

Gohan had probably learned to become a pretty good escape artist; with no Revives or healing items, why risk near-death?

@Killer Cyborgs.
It kinda sucks that the Artificial Human really had no purpose in Future Trunks' universe. Goku was dead; I can only imagine that #17 became all egomaniacal and start playing "fun games" to "pass time" that involved peoples' lives.

@Enma
the A. Humans really didn't cause for much alarm. They didn't threaten the universe. sure, Earth was done, but [shrugs]. Buu was a definite/proven universal threat.
