Who was more at fault for Cell absorbing 18, Vegeta or Krillin? Vegeta let Cell go absorb her when he could of killed him anytime he wanted. But Krillin smashed the remote right in front of her and he was close enough to deactivate her. |

I would say Vegeta more because he actually had the power to completely end Cell. |

I blame Toriyama! Just kidding. I would say that Vegeta and Krillen are equally at "fault". Each of them could have stopped her absorption. And in a way, both of their motives were self-centered. But that's the way it happened, so you can't say Fate doesn't have its part in this either! |

I think they both kinda were equally... Krillin let his emotions get in the way of a life or death situation lol. And Vegeta's head was full of hot air from his assension. Vegeta was more of a jerk about it, and Krillin was full of infatuation. |

Krillin, Krillin, Krillin, and Krillin. Think about it: he convinced himself he was in love with an android because she kissed him on the cheek one time even though he had never had any legitimate interaction with this machine. And because he had convinced himself of that, he nearly destroyed the Earth. Vegeta almost did as well, but what he did was much more in tune with his character. We always knew that Vegeta was overconfident to a fault; it's what we expect from him. Krillin was always the hero willing to do things for the greater good even if it meant getting himself hurt. Then suddenly he turns back on all of that because of a simple kiss on the cheek. Vegeta at least had a logical reason to think he could still defeat Cell. He had just toyed with Semi-Perfect Cell and humiliated him and he also had Trunks as backup. Krillin was worthless by this point in the series and had absolutely no hope of making up for his error. |

It may have been logical for Vegeta to think he would crush Cell but either way, they both put the planet in danger from there selfishness. Thats a huge bad thing on its own. IMO both are equally to blame. |

Like most everyone else said, I think that they were both equally at fault. They both gave in to their own temptations instead of putting the safety of the world first. It doesn't matter whether it was in character or not; it was still a mistake on both of their parts. |
