Created by the same woman who did the Yo Son Goku and Friends episode Bardock goes SSJ It's pretty awesome Also, there's already a manga for it. I really, really loved it. It made me like Bardock a whole lot more, and his transformation scene is now one of my favorites. So amazing. They could have done better with the plot and villain, though. |

It was pretty much the same exact thing as the manga. That's not a bad thing but they could of done so much more with it. I do like the music they used (tracks from Ultimate Tenkaichi Cutscene and soundtrack from 2010 OVA). I'm guessing he's the new official composer for Dragon Ball. Also I like how they've decided to make OVA's every few years rather than a whole new series. |

No only SSJ2 has sparks : / Toei likes to do this to us just like how they didn't give sparks to Gohan in the second Broly film. |

Goku had lightning all around him like Bardock did, but I don't think he had sparks. Personally, I thought it was cool anyway. |

ah yeah, I re-watched it. I was remembering the lightning bolts that come down like they do for Bardock. Speaking of the actual episode, I like how it kinda tied in. Like the gel that frieza's machines use to heal and those aliens having them. And Chilled warning about a really strong blonde haired person. In the anime it didn't make sense to me that Frieza was so afraid of something that was just a legend and didn't seem to have any proof... but being warned by an ancestor who was killed by an SSJ makes more sense. (ok, honestly, I just like the spin off cause it means Bardock didn't really die fruitlessly. Altho how he time traveled I have no idea) |

Toriyama has started drawing SSj's with sparks now. Check out Neko Majin Z. Goku and Vegeta both appear in it and both have sparks in regular Super Saiyan. |

I also really like how it tied in, now that you mention it. It provided a great explanation as to why Frieza was so scared of the the SSJ when Goku transformed. It never really explained how he time traveled, did it? :P I assume it probably had something to do with the psychic powers he was given in the Bardock TV special. Maybe that somehow sent him back in time? Ehhh... I don't know. On a side note, sparks look awesome.

First off gotta say Bardocks english voice is just so much more awesome But in Japanese, with subtitles I can't read Bardocks transformation still beas Goku to me Been dying to see that for years and now it's happened  So it's pretty much guaranteed he'll get that in a game...right? I know in UT you could probably just make him like that but it's not the same I rate SSJ2 and SSJ the same all the cool SSJ moments put together = SSJ2 Gohan which imo is the only decent SSJ2 All we need in a game now is all the characters thus far + SSJ Bardock and SSJ Goku jr and SSJ Vegeta jr |

Masako's Bardock was really deep in the Episode of Bardock. I wasn't expecting that. I mean I know it's not as high pitched as people think, but, her Bardock felt really intense during this OVA. Go Masako! Sonny Strait's Bardock has evolved, but I wouldn't say it's on the level of Masako's Bardock. |
