Would you class it as Canon? I know Toriyama-sama himself didn't create it, but he gave Naho-sama permission to create it so it must hold some sort of credence in the canon world of DBZ |

nope. none. the time travel theory used in the episode of bardock is different than the one used in the manga (canon time travel creates new timelines, while EoB time travel alters existing timelines). bardock was far too weak to be a super saiyan, as well. |

list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god | |

None. The most recent special was made from one of Toriyama's ideas, but it craps all over canon strength placements. Toriyama himself said he added Bardock to the manga because he liked him so much, but that doesn't canonize the TV special in the slightest, so I don't see much of a difference in this situation. |

Fair enough, btw I thought the lowest required Power Level was quite low, seeing as Mirai Trunks managed to transform and still be lower than Base Mirai Gohan. Transformation I never really thought it'd fit into canon but I thought I'd see your opinions on it anyway. |

if base future gohan was about as powerful as goku on namek (3,000,000), then trunks would have been 50,000 - 60,000 base, using a 50x multiplier. using my 10x multiplier, he would have been 250,000 - 300,000 base. we do have a fairly reliable way to figure out the minimum for ssj though. when goku arrived on namek, he stated (after reading krillin's mind) that something inside him changed during his training. this was when the ssj label first started being applied to him. so, the ssj minimum is less than 90,000. vegeta, on the other hand, didn't start labeling himself an ssj until after he received a zenkai from fighting recoome. before that zenkai, he was at 30,000, so we know the minimum is more than 30,000. we can average those two out, and we get 60,000, which is fine for a minimum, although it could reasonably be any number between 30,001 and 89,999. |
