It's the fact that he isn't doing enough. That and he's spending more time campaigning than trying to fix the economy. |

What do you want him to do? He needs congress on his side and I heard that they weren't. Plus these seem like problems that one president isn't going to be able to fix. Seems like people are expecting miracles. On the other hand, he did promise change and I'm not sure that much has changed. At least he got Stem cell research going again right? |

The worlds reserve surrency will continue to be the usd as long as we host the united nations and hold up our end of the nato treaty. Aint gonna happen before then. The cold part is? america closing its borders and generating new revenue should get us back up. The last depression was brought out BY a war effort, THIS depression was caused BY war. Funny huh? |

Obviously the war doesn't help but this depression wasn't caused by war. It was caused by a mixture of things. Mostlly banks gambling with our money and being unable to pay it back when it went belly up. And America would actually lose revenue if it closed it's borders. It needs tourism and trade to prosper.

Yes we can have trade and tourism but we should interfere less (wars) with other countries. The US sometimes has a problem minding it's own business. |

Well then the sollution is not closing borders but just creating non intereference policies. I think I read somewhere that the U.N actually has something like this but... you know it's the U.N. What's the worst they could do really? |

I am probably not a common guy in this but I don't want anyone in office right now. Obama seems to not be doing anything right now, and when he had the people on his side it didn't work out. He seems to be not doing what he says to be doing. The other guys like Gingrich and Romney are not good either. They seem to be into what other countries are doing, and one of them is not very truthful. Ron Paul isn't the greatest as well. He is good in some areas but on the other hand very horrible as well. |

It's not as simple, as "wont happen" trust me I live in America and I wish it was. The reserve currency is always and has always been the currency which is defines as the strongest, the weaker one gets the higher chance it will change. It's not there forever, Great Britan held it about 60-70 years ago before we became a creditor. As for "hosting" the UN not sure what you mean, not only that but a lot of new Presidential candidates like Ron Paul want to back out of the UN. -------------- Obama isn't a bad president, but he promised way too much to begin with. His popularity is slowly going down now, should be interesting year. |

Sorry for the double post, but some staffer can merge i or something... The US can't afford any more war right now. This is the main reason why I will be voting for Ron Paul in the election. He seems to be the only one to understand that we need to fix our financial situation at home before we think about war with Iran, Pakistan, etc and go searching in sand for Weapons of Mass Destruction. |

Statistically Obama should win. Since most Presidents manage to get a second term. Have you noticed that most of the candidates have been a bunch of crackpots and nobodies? Well that's because the good politicans decided to stay out of it, deciding that they'd have more chance in the election after this one. Some of the candidates didn't even really want to be president. I.E Donald Trump, Herman Cain. Instead using the media exposure to advertise their books and stuff. Heck if Bush can gain another term than Obama shouldn't find it very hard. |

Ron Paul has a really good chance of winning in Iowa. In some polls he's only 1 point behind Gingrich and Gingrich has been going down the past few weeks.
Difference is the unemployment rate was around 4%. Sure Obama got it down to 8.5 8.6 but that's mainly because of people dropping out of the workforce and seasonal jobs. Edited by Ani-Nation, Dec 18 2011, 05:33 PM.

Yeah ron paul has a good chance of winning at this point. His national average is low but we're working it state caucus by caucus to fix that. And if you want donate here: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/ Only 300k to go haha. And if someone doesn't like one of his policies post and I'll try to sway you etc. Edited by Mihawk, Dec 18 2011, 05:51 PM.
