So I was debating with a friend about if Piccolo grew in power when he turned giant on Goku. I disagreed but my friend agreed that Piccolo did get stronger. Now, logically if your that big then hell yeah your going to be stronger and faster, but then we got Roshi stating Piccolo had the same speed, so I guess normal logic didn't apply here anymore lol. So In my opinion, it doesn't make you stronger at all, I mean if it did then why didn't Piccolo do this with Frieza or Cell when he had the chance? Piccolo never does this anymore... |

I think it makes you somewhat stronger, but not faster and giant form wouldn't make a difference against frieza and cell, it's not a big multiplier at all |

I don't think it changes the users ki at all. If it did, Piccolo would have squashed Goku flat with one stomp. |

given what i believe, i'd say that growing larger doesn't change the users ki output at all; the user would be able to store a lot more ki though.

it doesn't increase ki, and it doesn't change speed (they were expecting him to get slower, not faster). it probably does increase physical strength to support the extra weight, but that's about it. |

why would increasing your size make you able to store more ki? that was never stated nor implied anywhere in the series. in fact, the only time ki was associated with a size increase (ussj) it was stated that it burned through ki way too fast. size in dragonball simply does not matter, even when it logically should, and certainly not when it shouldn't. |

I find it illogical for someone that size to go slower. We're talking about a being that can take one step and go to a different city lol.Your forgetting Oozaru lol Edited by Kamikaze Pyro, Dec 17 2011, 10:53 AM.

we're not talking about travelling speed, we're talking about moving speed. bigger objects have more inertia, and therefore require more energy to accelerate to the same speed as smaller objects. bigger objects have larger surface area, and therefore have higher wind resistance. bigger = slower and clumsier, except in dragonball. even ussj wasn't slow because it was big, it was slow because it was bulky. as for oozaru, that increased ki because it was a transformation, not because it was big. if you want to go into transformations, then: final form frieza > 3rd form frieza > 2nd form frieza. perfect cell > semi perfect cell > imperfect cell. kid buu > fat buu. etc. |

So it's decided then, size in the case of Piccolo does not effect your power... |
