You will all be kicking yourselves when they re-release Dragon Box on Blu Ray.

If Funimation re-dubbed the original series with an accurate script, then I would buy it. Until then, I stick to Kai.
I seriously doubt they were re-release the Dragon Boxes on Blu-ray. First of all, it was based on the Japanese release, and the Japanese haven't released a Blu-ray version and don't plan to. Secondly, what good would it do? We already have DBZ on blu-ray and a re-release would essentially be the same thing. So no, I won't be kicking myself. ^_^

What are you talking about? That is Kai. That statement totally confused me! :O
What I mean is that if Funimation re-dubbed the complete, unedited, entire original 291 episodes with an accurate script, then I would buy it.

The Bluray ones are the only ones I would consider buying... Too bad I don't have a Bluray player.
Um, do you have a Playstation 3? If yes, then you can play Blu-Ray disks with it. If not, then you can get one nowadays, it's pretty cheap and it's cheaper than most of the Blu-Ray players.

I think that the DBZ Blu-Ray ones are the best of all of them.
DBZ Kai Blu-Ray owns DBZ Blu-Ray, so I think that DBZ Kai Blu-Ray ones are the best of all.

Blu-ray just for the option of English or Japanese score.
Can you watch the Japanese dub with English subtitles but English Faulconer music? That would be very interesting IMO.

But anyway...I have no idea bout the Blue Ray and it's options. I don't mind the format to widescreen on the orange bricks. I own the entire series on the orange bricks and my biggest problem with it is the original Japanese version's audio is very crummy. It's not in stereo it's in crappy mono and the audio quality stinks IMO.

On the orange bricks You can watch

1. English Funi Dub with Faulconer score
2. English Funi Dub with Japanese score
3. Original Japanese Dub with English subtitles with Japanese score.

In the Dragon Box you don't get option 1....but on option 3 the sound quality is much better from what I hear. Plus the Dragon Box you watch it in the original 4/3 format instead of the video cropped 16/9 format which makes you lose 20% of the original screen on top and bottom.

DBZ on Blu Ray for me...Original version/faulconer music are all I need and want with the superior quality.

Lets hope this isnt another kai vs z debate like ani said :|
It's nice to see a fellow Faulconer here among all these "original" dub luvers...

What's your fav Faulconer track?

Which is the best version for me? I want a good quality version of DBZ with Faulconer music. Does the Blu-Ray version of DBZ has Faulconer music?

Dragon Box

I would say Blu-Ray if they didn't cancel it so soon.

Yes, the Blu-Ray version has Faulconer's score (or at least it would have, if they had even gotten to the Ginyu saga). But I still wouldn't get them, considering they're cancelled. You're best bet is probably the Orange Bricks. They have both the American and Japanese scores, but the remastering quality isn't all that good.

Well for me I own every orange bricks and it does me well. I still get the feel out of the show. Although the thing I didn't know that angers me a little is is how they cropped the images so it is smaller. But other than that I love the orange bricks! Also I don't know how much I like Faulconer's music, the original Japanese music relates to what it happening in the show to me alot more. It's all opinion though, i just don't like the hardcore rock and everything with Faulconer's music.

The Blu-Rays were cancelled before they ever got to the Faulconer episodes. You're basically stuck with the Orange Bricks.
You get can them cheap on http://www.amazon.com

Hey, Ani-Nation, are you the person/people behind the "Ani-Nation Reborn" Youtube Channel? If so, I like your work with replacing the original DBZ soundtracks with much more epic ones. I'm working on something like that myself. I've even made my own alternate soundtrack scene as well:

Yeah for some reason when I turn them on they wont work most of the time and when it does decide to pop some words up on the bottom of the screen its totally different than what they are saying but its still English if that makes since.

The orange bricks are awesome and are finally being released in the UK. They are awesome cuz of faulconers music. The only thing is you can't watch the old dub intros like rock the dragon and faulconers intros which can only be found on FUNimations older releases
