Hey. I just finished (re)watching dragonball z, from the point where its focused on baby gohan right until evil Buu is killed. I'm curious which series is the next in line to watch. I've played games and heard things about Broly and super saiyn 4, so i'm assuming those come after dragonball z, i'm just curious how i can find them.

Thanks in advance.

GT follows Z

Broly is in the DBZ movies. Check out the movies before you watch GT

GT is terrible by the way

Yea GT isn't by the original author. First time I've ever wanted to skip a dragon ball episode in my whole life was when I watched GT. But I recommend watching GT anyway so you can appreciate dragon ball/z better.

If you are going to watch GT I suggest you watch it with the understanding that the story, characters, fight scenes etc, won't be as good or interesting as DBZ. But there are a few good parts in GT. Watch GT first before you watch the DBZ movies. That way you have something to look forward to after witnessing the atrocity that is GT. Good DBZ Movies are:

Bardock: the Father of Goku

The History of Trunks

Bojack Unbound

Fusion Reborn

Cooler's Revenge

Return of Cooler

Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan [some may not agree with me on this one lol, but I think it deserves to be watched for entertainment]

Tree of Might is also good.

If you watch GT, I highly recommend watching it in Japanese with English subtitles. The English dub is just jaw-droppingly awful.

Well thanks a lot for the info guys. I'm gonna find the chronological order of the films on wikipedia and watch them in order, GT seems generally hated so i may give it a miss, or at least wait until i'm very bored.

Any major villians in GT that are worth knowing about?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I still haven't watched GT all the way through, and I've been a Dragon Ball fan for a long time now. I just can't bring myself to watch it...

And no, none of the villains are good, or so I've heard.

If you're going to watch the movies, definitely start with Bardock: The Father of Goku. It's the first movie chronologically and one of the best. After that, I would actually watch the History of Trunks. It isn't chronological, but it's the only other movie/special that fits into the real show. The rest are just little sidestories that are entertaining but don't really go with the rest of Z.

The film are:
1. Dead Zone
2. Worlds strongest
3. Tree of might
4. Lord Slug
5. Coolers revenge
6. Return of Cooler
7. Super Android 13
8. Broly: The legendary Super Saiyan
9. Bojack Unbound
10. Broly: second coming
11. Bio Broly
12. Fusion reborn
13. Wrath of the dragon

Note that most of the movies can't actually take place in the time line, like in movies 2-4 everyone should be on Namek but all the movies take place on Earth.

There's also 2 specials:
1. Bardock: The father of Goku - This is the very first movie in terms of timeline
2. History of Trunks

and at least 2 OVAs:
1. The plan to eradicate all Saiyans
2. Heya Son Goku and his friends return

You'll only be able to find the OVAs in Japanese so far.

There's also the newest one that was just released, I forget the full title but it's something like "Episode of Bardock" which is kind of a alternative ending of the Bardock special.

Baby, Super Android 17 and Omega Shenron are the main villains. But only Baby is really around for long, Super 17 saga as a whole is pretty short and Omega Shenron is only there for the last few episodes of the final saga where a bunch of minor villains are fought first.

I would also recommend you watch the prequel to Dragon Ball Z, the original Dragon Ball. It's a lot different, but it's still really good. It focuses more on comedy and martial arts than super-powered fights, and it made Goku my favorite character along with Vegeta.

Watch GT, its real boring in the beginning but once Baby comes it gets good. You cant go without seeing Goku Super Saiyan 4. Also the fusion between Goku and Vegeta at SSJ4.

Hey guy, have you seen Dragon Ball yet? That'd be worth watching, albeit it may be a little slower in the beginning.

Baby and Omega Shenron are the two main villains, Baby was a great idea in concept but could have been executed better. I personally think ending the series with Omega Shenron was the perfect way to end the series, not with Buu as the manga does. So I like Omega Shenron.
