It's especially bad to do it now since the food trade is globalised, and many wealthy nations(in terms of GDP) get their food from poorer nations. If you don't take the food there's a chance the company buying the foreign-grown food will buy less next time so they don't lose as much profit(via unsold food), and well otherwise it's just a matter of principle for me anyway. It's also wasting your own money if you don't finish the food. If it's meat then I think it's even more important since an animal got killed, and you should respect that animal and eat it, and if you can't then be a vegetarian. Seriously it's pathetic. If you're in good health and the food is good then eat the stuff or share it with people/even animals, or eat it later. I had a good buddy who used to finish other people's food....I don't do that but anyway that isn't necessary if everyone finishes their own stuff.

Chrome	I'm curious, if we're wasting that much, why can't we just send it over to third world countries? or is our government that concerned that they'll be picky about the aesthetics of the food? You should see what people waste when they come into the restaurant that I work at. Even for breakfast buffet, you see customers get a crap load of food on their plate, and not even eat half of it before they leave. I've been pitching to my boss about a wastage fee that we could charge customers for breakfast buffet, but since customers paying up front, it's impossible to enforce...

It would take a lot of money to collect, transport and distribute all the food, and it would be difficult to get in their while edible, and it's kind of degrading for people to have to eat the leftovers of others, I feel that many look just think the nation sending the leftovers is looking down on them. 2. It isn't necessary, just order less food from other nations. Plenty of food that can be harvested from the UK(for example) is instead imported, for example apples, and of the imported food a lot gets wasted on the supermarket shelves or in people's homes.

Favourite Manga Too many to fit on this page...	I love to eat ! In my home, my father was the one that taught me the value of food, and how it is "NOT" to be wasted . When I eat something I find rather delicious, I lick the plate clean ! When I see people in restaurants and similar places like that leave their food and drinks on the table I get so MAD that I would drink their drinks and eat their foods But my morality is keeping me in check. Well I could always grab their food and shove it down their throat...
