War! There has been countless wars in history. Some small and quick, while others are massive and lasting. In all of human history we haven't really had to much peace time. Humans by nature are selfish and sometimes violent. Back before we became civilize we were even more violent. Love and compassion is a learnt behavior. If we didn't have parents to show us what is right and wrong most of the time we will never know what is wrong. We as humans would be violent beings. Even with all this education, advancements, and technology we will still not be perfect. Even these days humans are sometimes hateful and violent. Rude too people for no reason and fighting sometimes useless wars is an example. Back before the 1900's it was common to enslave people, common to beat people, and common to treat them anyway. Only recently we are becoming better. We however are not perfect. Still there are wars in the world and many crimes happening each and everyday. We humans are not perfect yet. The thing I am asking is that will war between Humans last forever? |

I believe that war will last forever. I think that although humanity has advanced extraordinarily, the primal instinct for conflict or the feeling of greed will always be there. |

Remember human nature is adaptive, not a constant. War will continue if we don't change how we raise subsequent generations (we're pretty backward as things stand). Children who are raised peacefully do not speak the language of violence. Also, war cannot occur as we know it without government. No coercive taxation system, no war.

Human Wars won't. Human Race will sometime. But "War" itself is a product of any community be it humanity or wildlife animistic communities. |

Lol guys let's not get too of topic. In my opinion war changes just a bit. But it also doesn't change in a bit. It changes in the way we fight but not the reasons on why it starts or ends over. So yeah. |

I think it will end within 100 years. It's been noted by the people who's job it is to note these things that humans are far less aggressive as a species than ever before and we are still becoming less aggressive now. Look around you and try to find anyone who agrees with the concept of war. The people no longer want it. Governments have to use clever words and outright lies when they want us to accept why there is a war. Even then, they are often pressured to end it quickly and without any civilian bloodshed. The only people these days who want wars are uneducated despots and shady politicians. And the number of people who agree with them has been decreasing for decades. The desire for war IS shrinking and it's either going to happen under very exceptionable circumstances or not all. Probably not within our lifetimes though. |

I like to think we can live in peace once the greed causing it is exposed. If I say No there are people out there who will argue there's no point in trying to improve the world because it's destined to be crap. |

War has been around since the beginning of time. No matter what bills we put in place or what happens to others, it won't change any time soon. Ii's a bad thought but, people will never get the idea of proving one's supposed dominance over another isn't what we should be doing. We have the UN for a reason. |

I like how there is a mix of views on this one. I don't exactly agree on some, but they are still very good views. In my opinion I think we will get very advance to the point where war is not common but it still happens. War will never completely die out and will always be in life in someway. |

Believe it or not, we're currently in our most peaceful era of human existence. War itself will never end in my opinion but it'll be a lot more peaceful. It'll probably get to the point that war means only economic tariffs or boycotts. There's a book called "The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined" by Harvard Johnstone Family Professor of Psychology Steven Pinker that explains it in a lot more detail |

At times I think war is necessary. Kinda like what android 16 said to Gohan. "there are those who can not be swayed by words, you must protect what we love." or something along those lines. Also what if in a hundred years we begin to be over populated. We might need to conquer some lesser place and take it over as our own. While that may sound horrible it's something that may need to happen. Unless of course we get super lucky and figure out how to leave our solar system, or the very least quickly terraform Mars. |
