There aren't any specific rules on when and where to use Spoiler tags but, in this How To, I'm going to give some guidelines that [i[should[/i] be pretty useful if you're ever wondering about where to put your spoiler tags.

What are Spoiler Tags and How Do I Use Them?

Spoiler Tags are exactly what the name implies - something to hide information that could be spoilers for those who aren't up-to-date with manga and/or anime. Most of those who read this know what the Tags are and have seen them before, but for those who haven't, this is the code:

Code:

[spoiler]insertyourspoilerhere[/spoiler]

What Qualifies As A Spoiler?

A spoiler can be any of the following:

1. Anything released within the past two years (around 100 Chapters for Weekly Anime and Manga, between 45 and 50 Chapters/Episodes for monthly series).
2. Anything occuring after 3/4's of the way through the series. I use this one for completed series, but hey, whatever works for you
3. Anything regarding a character's (perviously mysterious) background,
4. In topics relating to ongoing arcs, the most recent information is in spoilers.
5. Deaths of major characters
6. Anything that you deem as being a spoiler (so long as it's relevent)

Why do we use spoiler tags

We use Spoiler Tags because not everybody is caught up with everything. Some people are new to series. Most importantly, though, it's the polite thing to do. It's rude to knowingly ruin the story for those who haven't reached the newest stuff yet. You would be annoyed if somebody ruined things for you.

Thanks for reading this, and I hope that somebody, at least, finds it useful
