At the time, SSJ2 was Gohan's thing, it was all about him finally living up to all that potential they'd been talking about for years. To have Vegeta come in and take the glory away from him would have ruined it imo. Also, I think it was far better that Vegeta charged at Cell knowing full well he couldn't win, it showed how blinded with rage he was.
	We'll never be those kids again

Posts: 1,536 Group: Donator Member #5,730 Joined: February 14, 2011	Well let's say I agree with the people above. At the time Gohan was the only one to go SSJ2. To let Vegeta go SSJ2 at a time like that would have felt very cheap and just added in the story for no real reason or purpose imo.

It would have been nice to see Vegeta actually defeat a major villian but Gohan had to finish that one.

Just as a side note, I think Toriyama should've had Vegeta's tail grow back rather than have him transform into a Super Saiyan. That would've kept things a little more diverse and less Aryan.
