 If you keep the x50 multiplier (Which I do) not only does Gohan have to catch up with Goku normally (Which is heavily implies he does) but then he has to get x50 stronger, which I don't think happened. So I'll say Goku.

 gotts go with gohan on this one. if goku was an ssj2, it'd be a closer fight, but then goku would have it too easy.

 I agree with Lunar here...Gohan in his Base surpassed his past MSS state and then some, Goku in Base did in fact struggle some with the Zeta sword, where when Gohan was finished he was holding it with one hand and twirling it around like it was a stick.

I have Gohan stronger than SSJ2 Goku and maybe to be on bar with SSJ3 Goku, he just transformed to SSJ/SSJ2 and he became Ultimate.
Fat Buu > Gohan = Evil Buu > Good Buu > SSJ2 Goku > SSJ2 Majin Vegeta > SSJ2 Gohan.

 I would go with Gohan also..pretty much for the same reasons stated above, SSJ2 Goku would win I think due to Gohans 7 year hiatus though

 if goku had done some training with gohan i think his ssj3 would have gotten a much needed boost. Goku missed alot of opportunities to get himself stronger, what a dummy. No wonder he ran from buu.

It's a hard call. but it is stated that after Gohan pulled out the Z sword he became stronger.
but if its pre mystic, I'll say Goku because after Gohan became mystic Goku said he was as strong as a Super Sayian.

TOEI in GT suggests that saiyans above the level of Mastered Saiyans, use a 2.5x boost. I would happen to agree with this.

I have Base Gohan rivaling but a notch lower than Super Saiyan 2 Goku.

Honestly, Gohan would have higher chances of winning. His Mystic form is awesome. While I am not comparing with anime, the manga clearly showed that Gohan could at least give some fight to Buutenks in his Mystic form, (then again, Gohan got smashed into a pulp). However, Goku as a SSJ3 got scared like hell when Buutenks was about to go for him..The fight in the anime only complicated the matters, but IMO Goku could barely hold his own as a SSJ3, given the energy drain fo its raw power.. So, in short, Gohan would have higher chances, though Goku has better skills like the Instant Transmission, Spirit Bomb, etc..its not like a fight to the death...Overall, Gohan wins...

 Definitely Gohan, he was gonna take on buu without SSJ3 so he musta been pretty strong.
