Raditz immenditly goes straight for Roshi and crushes he's skull killing him. Quickly he goes to Krillen and Yamach and kills. Choke holds Tein to death and then promently finishs off Goku before Piccolo thinks about Special Beam Cannon. Piccolo then gets he's ***** handed to him and Raditz prepares earth for Nappa and Vegeta.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not...
In case you are: I'm not sure Piccolo or Goku could suppress considering they were at full power (Not counting weighted clothing) despite one of them just going to meet his friends and the other one doing nothing but standing on top of a rock. But even if Tien could suppress and he was at that exact moment why do you say his power is 257? It's a completely random number.

If you're not: I can't remember if Kami did imply to teach suppression since it first seemed to happen after everyone was done training for the Saiyans, although I wasn't really talking about that lol, just pointing out what Tien's power was on the scouter.

the 257 was a mistake. krillin is 207, and tien is 250, and the 2 numbers got overlapped in my head.

actually, the first instance of suppression was at the 23rd budokai. when goku was about to fight king chappa, tien remarked that he couldn't sense anything from goku. later, piccolo remarks that goku is using the techniques of his family, or something of that nature, implying that piccolo could also suppress.

as for why they weren't suppressed at the beginning of z, they had no need to. fighters suppress in combat situations so that their enemy will underestimate them, but neither goku nor piccolo were in a combat situation.

raditz would go for the strongest first, since they would be the ones that pose the mst threat in an ordinary situation.

so, raditz would go:

goku, piccolo, tien, krillin, yamcha, roshi, chiaotzu.

tien and krillin are 3rd and 4th on the list, and either of them can do the solar flare, as can goku. there's 3 people that can do it, so raditz is screwed.
