The Darkness Returns

New York City Mayor* Sorry amended

Unemployment is starting to sink in, riots are more and more likely as public frustration grows. This was foreseen as a problem long ago, but now it's reaching a boiling point.. Pretty sad.

With the Job growth bill, do you see this situation being helped?

The Job Growth bill seems like a short term bill to boost President Obama's ratings.
Some people might be happy others might be angered that he's spending more money.

When the economy does better, companies are going to start hiring. There's no way a package designed to fit temporary jobs is going to help us long term.

I see riots in the future. All it takes is some sort of catalyst. Especially in states where the job market is worse and poverty is highest.

Agreed. The riots happened here for the same reason, just the catalyst was a man being shot at by the police. All you need is something like that happening and you could have some riots on your hands.

I think riots are going to become far more frequent and common in the world in general soon. I hope it doesn't happen here in Alabama too soon though, although it might with Uncle Robert's new policy on illegal Immigration. Not that I am extremely state loyal, but believe it or not, my Great Uncle is now the Governor actually. Robert Bentley. We all just call him Uncle Robert in my family though. But he was elected because he promised to give jobs to alabama citizens. In order to do this though, he is really cracking down on illegal immigrants and them taking jobs from alabama citizens. Some people find this a bit harsh though, but hopefully it wont become physical unrest.

i have no sympathy for adults that come to this country illegally. there is no moral or legal debate. they broke the law, they don't deserve to be here. what they do when they get here is irrelevant, since they weren't supposed to be here in the first place. now, children that are brought here illegally are a different story. as children, they should be kept with their family, of course, but as adults, they should be given amnesty and citizenship, provided they meet citizenship criteria. they really didn't have a choice in whether they broke the law or not, and so shouldn't be punished for the crimes of their parents.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

Sort of like how our country started.

so, because our ancestors forced their way onto this land 400 years ago, we should allow others to do the same? 2 wrongs don't make a right. what happened, happened, and is no excuse to allow similar events to continue happening.

I agree with you, but (not saying you were implying it) when people talk about how wrong it is, and how we're so great they tend to forget we started the same way.
