If he could severy injure Vegeta that means something.

He was still no match for Vegeta pre-Ginyu (about 40,000) and Vegeta himself stated that Krillin was weaker than Zarbon, but nonetheless had impressive power. Krillin could not have gotten that much stronger on Namek after his potential release, especially with no Zenkais. Oh and lunar2, he was actually on par with Ginyu or a little weaker. The only time Krillin got Ginyu good was when Ginyu wasn't paying much attention. You'll notice that when Vegeta got involved after he killed Jeice, Gohan and Krillin had a little difficulty beating him Edited by songohanfrancais, Sep 19 2011, 03:41 AM.

But these could easily be based on comparisons on when they first arrived on the Planet to that point.
