Goku is MORE than confident (Someone who DOES NOT BS someone about their lvl of power) that Pan at THAT young of age would fight either Vegeta, Goten, Trunks, possible The Namek, maybe Tien if he decides to show up, and maybe even No. 18 and other Human fighters in her first round. Goku knew she would face one of these, if Goku knew Pan didn't stand a chance against any of them, or make it past the first round Goku wouldn't let Pan enter the Budokai. That's completely out of character, and saying Goku would is just an excuse to dismiss Goku's statement or try to take it out of context to make her sound piss weak, when in reality Goku's statement plainly points out that Pan is one of the strongest Saiyans on the Planet.

Where did that come from? Also, I don't see how Pan can be that weak when Goku knew she would be facing either Trunks, Goten, Vegeta or Mr. Boo, and be so calm and confident about it.

@Sasuke: He doesn't have to back it up because it's shown by the manga that each generation is stronger than the last, at least in potential.
1. Goku underestimated Kid Boo. Nothing to do with him gauging Pan's power.
2. Goku never underestimated or overestimated the kids. I don't know what you're going for with this one.
3. He underestimated Cell. Still has nothing to do with Pan's power.

He felt he could defeat Kid Buu. He had all the bravado and confidence in he's tone of speech yet he couldn't do it in that form.
For the boys he was wrong about them being able to defeat Super Buu. The had to go up to SSJ3 form just to keep up with him.

they could have beaten super buu as ssj3, and goku only saw gotenks fight super buu as an ssj3. goku didn't lie at all.

My question was a point, and my point was answering you're question and that is...none!
Goku had a plan with Gohan, Goku had a plan with Gotenks, and Gotenks was WINNING the fight in the Manga. The only problem was the fusion time coming into play here. Also Goku did in fact believe he could beat Chibi Boo, Goku even admitted he misjudged Chibi Boo's power, so he didn't lie about anything.

Regardless of whether Goku overestimated Pans power I still think she would beat Yamcha pretty badly. Didn't Yamcha stop training after the Cell saga?

He never specified how he would beat Boo, just that he hadn't gotten the chance. This isn't contradicting.

Yes, he stopped training a full 17 years before the end of Z. That's a lot of time to lose strength.

Not sure really. Stronger than the Base boys, maybe even their Super Saiyan states, but I honestly can't see her being stronger than SSj2 Goku/Vegeta. I know she's the daughter of Ultimate Gohan, but...ehhhh.

I wouldn't put her stronger than either than them, but I do see her being very close to them. But I do believe if she pulls a Gohan and gets pisses, it could be trouble for everyone.
