Would You Be One Of The First?

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

I saw this on another forum and thought it was pretty neat.

So, if we had the tech to colonize another planet or even our moon would you be one of the first to explore and live there?

We will assume it has been scoped out for the dangers and they're equivalent to what the pioneers faced when first colonizing America.

I say yes. A new adventure of this magnitude, even considering the strive and risks would be something I would jump for.

You are calm and reposed, let your beauty unfold

I'm in two minds about this, it's the sort of thing I would love to have a go at but it's not really something you can bounce back from and just go back home if you don't do that great lol, it seems to require a bit more life-commitment than that.

If there were loads of people there in the same sort of area I would, especially if it was family.

who do you think set the whole thing up?

hint:

<<----
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

for those that blindly follow word of god

I would rather live on Mars than on the Moon. The moon is boring and too close to home. However, I would only go to Mars if I believed Earth to be in iminent, unavoidable danger though. Otherwise I'd have no reason to. Earth is much more fun and beautiful.

Nah, almost certainly not. There's just something about having a breathable atmosphere that puts me at ease, don't think I could live comfortably knowing that one mechanical failure could suddenly change that.

I would stay here with my kids and let them grow up and have a better chance at life where I know all the possibilities.

I would like to visit the moon or mars I am not sure I would unless some close family and friends are going with me but I have everything I want on this planet already. I will visit but I just won't stay there. I always like to sit back and try things out or see what others think before I go do things, well most of the time.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I'm not sure about for the rest of my life but it would be cool to live on a planet with low gravity for a while, for obvious albeit childish reasons
I'd like to but I'm not sure what use I'd be everyone would have a responsability
The moon would make me too paranoid it would likely be in some kind of gigantic bubble, if that got hit by a small metorite most of the people would die and the rest would probably die before help could reach them
Mars wouldn't have that problem but then it's a harsher environment which would take alot of getting used to and everything would have to be perfect
Start running out of food, die
Everyone starts getting ill not enough medicine, everyone dies again
Not enough water, die again

It would have to be a collosal vessel full of food and not that many people because it would take years to get back is it not something like 4 years?

If the place had been stable for something like 50 years I'd consider it provided I was between 20 and 50 and had no attachments

By the time we start colonising Mars, we will have the technology to literally produce any food we want in laboratories. We might also be able to turn breathable air into water and vice versa. So unless there's some catastrophic technical failure, running out of supplies shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Many people forget that the sun gives off deadly radiation in the form of solar flares. Until man can properly recreate the ionosphere on another planet, i'm staying on earth.

You also have to realize that even on another planet, humans will still act the same. There will always be someone that will look to kill someone else. If you give them access to a space station, someone will look to kill everyone in an instant. Because it's just that simple. All they have to do is open a door, or puncture the protective bubble. The pressure alone will kill everyone in that area. And that's scary.

Yeah Engineer that makes me reconsider it even more. Like I said before I might go to the moon a once like Armstrong did, but I am not sure about staying. I know that I should worry about other people don't but those flares do make me want to stay on earth even if I had to things to survive and stay on the moon.

Yeah there would always be somebody against the whole idea who would try to sabotage it it's unlikely just anyone would be able to go ever
Mars would need to be teraformed or they'd have to make a machine or many to produce all the gases we need
It will be years before we can manage that it would need to be perfectedhere and then the resources would need to be gathered or transported to mars

I think before we colonize other planets we're going to have to live in space stations we will probably just drift through the universe until we come across a more suitable planet
Kind of like the plot of the film Pandora but hopefully a greater success

It's something that I think would be really cool to do, but then again only if I could do it with a group of people I would be happy living the rest of my life with, or at least a large portion of it. I mean, I guess it would depend on how many people went too. But probably I would want to just stay on Earth because I know, at least theoretically, how to be successful here and everyone I know obviously lives here and I would have a hard time leaving all of them.

Me going to the moon is always a dream but I think staying on earth will be better due to fact, I was born on this planet and i'm not an exploring type of guy. I'll keep my hopes for future space exploration to moon and mars.
