Why do people use set multipliers for SSJ3?

Isn't the SSJ3 transformation something to do with hidden potential or true power. Some people liken it to the mystic transformation and say that Gohan SSJ3 = Mystic Gohan. So why are people using a multiplier for SSJ3 when it's completely different for each person?

There's no way I'd use a solid multiplier for SSJ3.
Goku was just getting the hang of it during the only episodes we saw him in.

I estimate a mastered SSJ3 Goku would be unbelievably strong. Maybe even comparable to Ultimate Gohan without considering the EOZ.

To put it sarcastically, because everyone and their dog here has their own opinion of what power level everyone was at at any given time.

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

I don't believe in power levels after the Frieza Saga. :D
Now, there's an idea.

As far as I know (And a quick search on Herms strength thing) Super Saiyan 3 was never stated to be a "Potential" release in the manga, just another form of Super Saiyan.

Because Daiz SEG says that SSJ3 = 4 x SSJ2...

Why do people NOT use set multipliers for SSJ3? They have their reasons.

The SEG contradicts what the Daizenshuu says, but oh well.

People either use a set multiplier for it or they don't, depending on which guidebook they believe. Personally, I have different multipliers for each person because I go with the Daizenshuu definition, and I don't see Goku having the same potential as the kids.

Yeah. I like this topic in particular...

The first 2 line's of the topic:

So we all know the SEG has the SSj3 multiplier at 4x, right? Well, there could be a way around this if you don't particularly like that.

Ah, the good ol' days when I made actual topics. I still need to get to the rest of yours, and start that one on Super Saiyan 2 like I said...

Anyway, yeah, I think people like the SEG way because it's a solid multiplier and it's stated alongside the other forms, unlike in the Daizenshuu.
