Saiyans: The Future PROLOGUE SUGGESTIONS ,CORRECTIONS, AND CRITICISM WELCOME! I'm currently still pulling the story together, but I know the prologue could use some editing. If you have any ideas for any prologue story-changes I could make, please tell me. Note: Gt sucks horribly. The only reason I'm including it in the prologue of this fanfic and not skipping over it is that I want it to work with what's Cannon PROLOGUE Spoiler: click to toggle Era 1: The Beginning of the End Spoiler: click to toggle Goku has just defeated the all-mighty Omega Shenron and has flown off with the eternal dragon, marking the end of all violence and evil on the planet of Earth, or so he hoped. After a small period of mourning, the lives of the Z-fighters fall back into an era of peace. It is at the end of this Era in which both Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. are born. Era 2: Darkness Again Spoiler: click to toggle Goku and Vegeta Jr. are now both fully grown. After years of training, not only are they far stronger then their ancestors from which their names are derived, but they also attract much more unwanted attention. Their unimaginably high power levels are picked up by scouters of the remnants of Frieza's empire, now hiding at the very edge of the Galaxy. With generations of training with the best of technology and harshest of terrain behind them, they too have not only surpassed their ancestral leader, but if he was alive to that day, even the weakest of their fighters could crush them easily. Curious about the strange powers they had discovered, they dispatch several warriors to Earth to Investigate. These warriors, intrigued by idea of the Ginyu force, deem themselves "The New Ginyu Force". Noticing the weakness of the main population, the New Ginyu Force gives into its urge to kill the so-called "Lesser Beings" and begins to blow the planet to pieces as they make their way to the locations in which their scouters were pointing them. By nightfall, half the planet had been leveled, millions of innocent humans killed in the process. True to their ancestor's names, Goku and Vegeta Jr. rush to the scene as soon as possible. At once the two of them engage in an epic battle against their new foes, each of them falling, one by one. Just when victory had seemed to be assured, a new power appears on the planet. The aliens name is "Yoru-Juu", leader of the Friezan remnants. The monstrous leader has realized that the New Ginyu Force was defeated and has come to Earth himself to destroy the nuisance, hundreds of lesser soldiers behind him. Once again the two heroes fall into battle, giving every ounce of power they had into defeating this new threat before it could finish off the Earth. In the midst of the battle, Vegeta Jr. falls, the amount of massive powers overwhelming him. Goku Jr., overwhelmed with rage, finally ascends past the normal Super Saiyan level, becoming the first Ascended Super Saiyan in the last few decades, and the last. Using all of his power and might, Goku Jr. fights through the army of soldiers and finally begins to battle on par with Yoru-juu. The battle lasting several hours, it finally ends in both warriors killing each other in a massive display of pure power. The Earth could finally rest in peace once again, but the battle had destroyed much of the planet, leaving it barren and un-livable. The Earth's dragonballs already long-gone, and the knowledge of Namek having faded into history, the two warriors and everyone that was killed can not be revived. Though saddened through the deaths of their greatest friends, the remaining Z-fighter descendants live on, putting everything they could into survive and restoring the planet. Era 36: Earth Renewed Spoiler: click to toggle After millions of years of work, Earth has finally been restored to its original glory, oceans and mountains and rolling plains once again enveloping its surface. The Existence of Saiyan-human Hybrids is now common knowledge and they are found in massive proportions throughout the small planet, though still failing to out-number the human population. Through the test of time, many things about the Saiyans have change, most notably the loss of their tail. Another large change is that they have split up into two different clans, the Gocian Descendants and the Vegetian descendants, both with their own specific traits and ideology. One thing remained the same, however. The storm of Super Saiyans had ended with Goku and Vegeta Jr. No matter how hard they try, every existing Saiyan fails to achieve the great power of their ancestors. Vegetian descendants have gained the greyish-purple hair of their ancestor Trunks, and are often found wearing near-perfect replicas of the Saiyan armor that the very first Saiyans wore, though their true origin having been lost with time. This clan not only exercises the importance of being the strongest, but also, the importance of being the smartest. A good deal of Bulma's genes having been passed down, most of these hot-headed Saiyans are also some of the most brilliant minds on the planet. From figuring out how to react in a fight to assembling space crafts, the mind is very important to them, though many of them echo Vegeta's original personality. Gocian descendants are very different from the Vegetian descendants. In fact, they don't even echo the traits of their ancestors. They praise the fact that they are descended from the once-most-powerful fighter in the universe and have, over-time, dropped their ideas of peace and equality, and picked up a rather arrogant and selfish culture, completely tossing away everything Goku had taught his own children. Though their personalities are different, most of them wear a replica of Goku's original orange GI, claiming that dressing like their ancestor would bring them closer to his power. They practice the importance of power and rarely every educate their children. From the moment they can walk, every child is trained to be the strongest warrior that their power could possibly allow. They often find themselves at conflict with the Vegetian, casualties rising almost every month. Though the Saiyans have changed a lot, humans may of changed even more. Ruled entirely by the Capsule Corp Monopoly, humans live in a period of peace and prosperity. The Capsule Corp was passed down to distant human-relatives of Bulma and they hold the secret to the capsule, something the Vegetians very much want to get their hands on. Though not as brilliant as the Vegetian clan, the humans working under Capsule Corp continue to come up with thousands of intricate and useful machines. Though they're mainly aristocratic, some humans are also powerful warriors, unlike those of the past. The Nano technology that was once in Android 18 created a mutation within her daughter's body. Over time, that mutation was passed down and eventually awakened the inner strengths of humans. To keep them from destroying the entire planet, the human army often interveines with Saiyan Activity, causing tensions to rise. Era 38: Earth's Luck Finally Runs Out Spoiler: click to toggle After a few hundred years of building, the tension between the warring Saiyans finally breaks loose, and all-out war enveloping the planet. A group of Drunken Vegetian descendants had walked up to a Statue of Goku and blasted it to the ground. This set the Gocian descendants into an outrage. Killing the purpitrators instantly, the Gocians gather for war and launch an all-out attack on the Vegetians, killing many Humans and Saiyans alike in the process. The Vegetians, reacting in kind, fought back as hard as possible. The ancient battle between the young Hero and the young Saiyan Prince is repeated, this time on a massive scale. The longer the battle drags on, the more damage the Earth sustains, everything they had worked to restore once again crumbling to the ground. After 10 years of war, the Saiyans have finally succeeded in blowing the planet to pieces, completely eliminating everything Goku and Vegeta had worked so hard to save. Though the planet was destroyed, many humans and Saiyans are prepared and thousands of the population that was once billions make it off of the planet safely. Ships scattering out into space, the Saiyan remnant flees into the universe, scattering onto every planet imaginable. Some leave in groups, others by themselves. Settling in, they all await the return of the Legendary Super Saiyan, whom they claim will re-unite them and save their race from fading into history. Era 38: Dragon Ball Act II(The day of the mass evacuation) Spoiler: click to toggle As many ships fly out of the exploding planet, a lone ship is hit with a gigantic piece, and with the hum of an alarm, it explodes off into a random direction. After an hour of flying, a planet comes into view. Though not knowing it, the Saiyan inside is on a collision course with destiny. And so the story continues.........A curtain rising on the story of a new hero. CHAPTER 1 Spoiler: click to toggle Part 1: Spoiler: click to toggle The hull of the ship rattled crazily as it begun its descent into the planet's atmosphere, flames erupting around the damaged hull. The spaceship was an odd-looking older model, compared to the norm of the time. It had a gigantic rounded hull, tenticle-like legs, and several oddly-shaped viewing ports on its side. Damage could be seen in several places about its exterior, some from age, some from the recent bombardment with planetary rubble. A Capsule Corp. logo was fading on its side. Still moving faster and faster, the ship continued its descent, now passing through the lower cloud level. A button was pressed inside. Instantly several reverse-thrusters were activated and the ship slowly begun to slow down. It was too little, too late. To the dismay of the ship's pilot, the planet had gigantic box-like mountains reaching up into the lower atmosphere, and he was heading right for one. Grabbing the controls, he frantically begun trying to swerve the ship away from the first mountain, only succeeding in sending it straight into the face of another. A loud explosion erupted out of the hull of the ship as impact was made, the repelling force so great that the ship was launched into another tower-like mountain and knocked about between many of them, several viewing ports and pieces of landing gear breaking in the process. As the ship flipped and crashed about, he looked into the back of the cockpit where two teenage children, one boy, and one girl were strapped in tightly to their passenger-seats. The man shed a single tear. Sudddenly the ship impacted the ground with full force, an explosion large enough to destroy an entire city instantly erupted across the surface of the planet, comepletey disintegrating several of the strange mountains. The ship's pilot was killed instantly, his weaker body unable to withstand such a powerful force of energy. As quickly as it had appeared, the explosion faded, leaving a gigantic trail of destruction in its wake. Where am I....? What happened....? Am I dead....? No..... Is She Ok....? What about the Human...? These thoughts flowed into the young teenage boy's head as he slowly faded back into conciousness. He blinked once....Twice....Slowly his vision returned to him. Groaning, he reached out and grabbed a near-by piece of rubble, straining to pull himself back to his feet. Wincing with pain, he dropped his hand down to his side. Several of his ribs were broken. Turning his attention away from his injuries, he looked out and scanned the surounding landscape. Other then the occaisional mountain, the land was completely destroyed. All around him he could see pieces of scattered stone and broken machinery enveloped by the strange ankle-level mist of the planet. Reaching down to his side, he grabbed a small data pad and studied it. Other then a few cracks, it seemed to be in fairly good shape. Turning it on, he tapped away on the machine for a few momments until suddenly is begun to beep loudly, several strange characters appearing on the screen. The boy cursed. 'Yardrat.....Out of all the places in the galaxy we could of crashed, it had to be the one place where there were no Saiyan outposts.....' Turning the device off, the boy placed it back onto his belt. He was a rather average-sized teenage boy with large muscles. He wore a grey set of Saiyan armor that had been broken into pieces during the crash. Under his armor he wore a torn black jumpsuit-like item that if in tact, would of covered every inch of his skin up to his shoulders. On his face lay a blue scouter, the glass missing in several places. The most notable feature about the boy would be his long, greyish-purple, spikey hair which fell to waist-level. Though he was in truth only 14, his eyes looked as if they had seen the world end three times over. He suddenly remembered his fellow passengers and begun to panic. Had his sister survived the crash? What about the human? Hoping to locate them as quickly as possible, he pressed several buttons on the side of his broken scouter and scanned the surrounding area. Beeping for a few momments, the results pop up onto the screen, fuzzing up every other second do to the damage. There was one life-form with a weakening power-level near by. Taking off at full speed, he ran with all of his might in the direction of power. Whomever he was picking up was in trouble. After a few momments of running, two bodies came into view, both of them lying on the ground in front of him. From that distance he could tell that one was dead, the other was wounded badly. His heart sank. Rushing over he gets down on one knee and studies the both of them. He could now see their faces and injuries clearly. Turning to where he saw the dead body, a solemn look crossed his face. It was the kind human whom delayed his escape to save him and his sister. Earth had just been about to explode and he and his sister were running around in search of a ship that was still running. Un-able to find one, they gave themselves up for dead when suddenly the human came running towards them and took them on-board their ship, ultimately saving their lives. He delayed his departure and the ship was caught up in the explosion as they flew off. If the man had left them and saved himself, he wouldn't of died. Realizing that his sister was wounded, he gets back up and rushes towards her. It was bad. The explosion had ripped most of her left arm off and it was now only hanging on by a single strand of skin, blood pouring out of the wound profusely. Not only that, but several pieces of sharp stone had pierced her armor and ripped into her flesh. From the places where they were stationed, he could tell that several minor organs had been damaged. Deciding that the immediate danger would be her bleeding arm, he grasped it by the strand of skin and detached it from the rest of her body. It wouldn't of been repairable anyways. Lifing up his free hand, closed his eyes and allowed a small amount of ki to flow into it, the light pulsating on the mist. Slowly pulling the ki towards her arm, he slams it into the wound and winces as she screams loudly. Melting the wound shut, he turned towards her other wounds. The fix would of stopped the bleeding for the momment, but she needed to reach a rejuvination tank, soon. Studying the places where she was pierced carefully, he realized that it wasn't something he could fix. If he so much as moved her armor to get to her flesh, the stones would either dig deeper into her body or fall out, causing her to bleed to death or damage her more. Reaching down, he scooped her up in his arms and started running off in a random direction. Hopefully the planet had intelligent life, otherwise his twin sister would die. Part 2: Spoiler: click to toggle Panting heavily, the boy continued to run across the misty wasteland, his sister still cradled in his arms. Every so often he would reach up and a few buttons on his scouter, scanning the surrounding area for any noticeable life forms. After about the twentieth time, the scouter finally blacked out, the blue screen covered in static. Cursing, he tossed the scouter aside and begun to focus on his less-then-average senses. Suddenly, after a while of running, his legs let out on him and he stopped, falling to his knees. He just couldn't make it. Using up the last of his strength, he hobbled over to one of the near-by pillar-mountains and set his sister down, careful not to cause any more damage to her wounds, and laid against it himself, panting heavily. As the adrenaline slowly left him, a surge of pain began to whell up in his side, causing him to wince and groan loudly. Other then his broken ribs, he had no serious injuries, but he was cut and bruised all across his body, the exhaustion adding to his discomfort. Looking back over at the mangled body of his sister, he cursed himself once again, wishing he could fly. Unlike most Saiyans at the time, he had never had any training other then the very ught-most basic fighting technuiques, mainly do to the fact that his powerlevel was so low that no-body had even bothered to try. Instead, he had been mentored in the ways of technology and the mind. He had never had the need for abilities such as heightened senses or flight until now because he normally had the technology to replace it. Now more then ever, he was wishing that he had been raised differently. A loud splutter of coughing from his sister ripped him out of his train of thought and he instantly turned to see her. 'H-....*Cough*H-Haruzaki...?' She looked at him and smiled, though her voice was weak and strained. Regardless, hearing his name coming from her lips was a conforting sound. 'It's going to be all-right, Hikari....You're going to be all-right.' He assured her, though he wasn't all too sure of it himself. Though she was his twin sister, her appearance was very much different from his. Rather then the signature purple vegetian hair, hers was black and smooth, looking almost perfect despite her situation. On her chest were the remains of an Aqua-colored piece of blue armor similar to his other then the fact that it was missing the Shoulder and lower pieces. Under that she too wore a black jumpsuit similar to his, white gloves and boots covering her hands and feet. Suddenly her smiled faded, a look of shock and awe replacing it. Lifting up her surviving arm, she pointed it at an area by his side. Thinking that some sort of creature had appeared, he quickly turned around and jumped to his feet, adrenaline rushing through his body in preparation for battle however.....Nothing was there. Turning back around, he gives Hikari an odd look. It wasn't like her to play jokes on him, much less in such a dire situation. Just as he was getting ready to ask her what was wroung she suddenly sat up and stared at him. 'Y-You have a tail!' she weakly shouted, her voice filled with disbeleif. Looking down to his side, he noticed the fuzzy streak of brown and his expression suddenly changed. Reaching down, he grasped the tail with both hands and brough it up to eye-level, feeling the new limb for the first time. Where could it of come from? It'd never been there before and if it had been, he surely would of known. In fact, no living Saiyan in the last few millenia have had a tail. The gene was thought to be dead. 'Wh-What the Hell?! Where did this tail come from?!' No reply came. Turning back towards his sister, he saw that she had once again fallen out of conciousness, the blood loss from before getting the better of him. So as to not get in the way, he quickly tucked the tail up into his armor and bent down to study her. Grabbing her arm, he pressed two fingers against against her vein and felt for a pulse. For a few moments, he felt nothing, panic whelling up inside of him. Suddenly her pulse picked up again, though it was very feint. She didn't have much time left. Suddenly a loud whoosh filled the air and a flash of particles appeared in front of him, scattering into specific positions and constructing themselves into a pink-skinned, large-headed, alien man. An expression of disbelief crossing his face, he opens his mouth to speak. Suddenly the man lashed out with all of his might, slamming Haruzaki in the face. His head throbbing, his vision begun to blurr and eventually faded into black. Edited by pppgggr, Sep 4 2011, 07:21 AM.
