Vegeta is weaker than Goku, at least in the Bebi arc, Saber. Vegeta was forced to go Super Saiyan to handle SSj Bebi Gohan and SSj Bebi Goten, while Goku effortlessly beat them down in Base. It can't be stated as fact that Vegeta is weaker than Goku from the Super 17 arc onwards, though, since we never see a direct comparison between them, and contrary to what some think, the Super 17 fight doesn't prove anything. @Ninja: Gohan got a lot stronger. Even if you want to follow what the manga portrays with GT (which is nigh-impossible), Base Gohan was still fighting pretty well with Rildo, who was stated to be stronger than Boo. Whichever Boo, it means Gohan was still stronger than he was in Z in Base. |

Actually KP it all depends on how powerful you have Baby when he takes Gohan, because I have Baby pretty high when he does, and we don't know if when Baby leaves his host they loses the boast they got or not. |

for starters, i just dont see how it is that vegeta is as strong as you say in base when he couldnt even take out gokus kids. Goku on the other hand in CHILD form took all of them on and then got beat down by baby himself, although it was all a set up, for vegeta to even take on gohan in whatever form is ridiculous in itself. Goku was training with UUB who is majin buu reborn, he is already ssj3 tier power, he was born with it, so its not that far fetched that they both would become so much more powerful, espcially after goku helped Uub unlock his inner potential which you know he had just from being reborn human. But thats all conjecture. Its true that while he was on earth (and to vegeta) he called vegeta the most powerful body in the universe but i think thats saying something that makes no sense considering he had already met goku. The cold part is that he wasnt even able to measure gokus true power as goku didnt even go beyond ssj to finish him off. He possessed vegeta and just like majin buu he ADDS his power to theirs. Thats why vegeta was so powerful, but it doesnt mean he was on par with goku even in the first two forms. As stated by the narrator despite baby claiming vegeta was more powerful, "hurry goku youre the only one that can save earth!!" One thing i ALSO dont get( this is for another topic) but what the HELL happened to shenron? why are the black stars the only ones in the show? when they are supposed to have been created by piccolo?? dende has his OWN shenron...just saying... HAHAHAHAHHAAAAAA!!! i got you!!! i found it!!! episode 29!!! baby while INSIDE vegetas body and fighting ssj3 goku, goku says to himself, "the power of baby and vegeta combined is enough to even the match even for my super saiyan 3"!! He then tells baby, "i havent been this excited about a fight in a long time" he then RUSHES baby who easily dodges, then BABY says, whats the matter goku? is that all the power the MIGHTIEST SAIYAN HAS???!!! ill even hide the link directly to a GOOD japanese english sub, where they play all 64 eps in their japanese glory, dig in saber, grab your best steak knife and some A1, Time to eat your words. Spoiler: click to toggle Goku felt confident he could fight vegeta as ssj3 even though they were even. Baby got in more hits but he didnt hurt goku at all. Kind of amazed me really. But unlike vegeta? goku had no issues beating down the 2 tsufrian(tuffle) possessed brothers. Kp has a point about super 17 though, even though Uub was there and obviously more powerful than vegeta, or was he? just too much stuff got turned into crap after heroes legacy. What happened with super 17 made NO sense as goku isnt known for spamming energy blasts needlessly. But he did, feeding 17 till goku couldnt even take him in ssj4 which even THEN he CONTINUED TO FEED 17. SMDH, makes no sense at all. Uub and gohan both got knocked aside with little effort but VEGETA the get beat down and stay down king was more durable? stronger maybe? not even in question (or it shouldnt be) but it did it anyways by making what happened backwards as hell. Goku was confident he could take 17 in mssj, no issues there, i think if goku had gone ssj2 he would have beat 17 down in scrap. No spamming just beating. After all, all 17 really did to fend him off was absorb and redirect, after a minute he no longer needed to and proceeded to go head to head with goku who in a fit of super dumbness STIll hadnt figured it out and started SPAMMING even HARDER as an ssj4!!! HUH???  since when does goku NOT put his fist through something first? they MAdE him look like a fool. If he knew how to defeat 17 it would have been easy from the jump. Deny it if you want, but it doesnt change what happened.

I just watched the fight on YouTube, and S17 isn't harmed at all by Goku's attacks. He laughs them all off. He even tells Goku "I'm disappointed" and that he could see through all of his moves from the start. Goku's ki spamming wouldn't have given him that much of a boost, so he had to have started out stronger in the first place. |

right because he already WASNT absorbing aspam attacks from vegeta also?? and the rest, when he started off he wasnt stronger than them, they ALL fed him at some point. Its true 17 was waiting for goku to make his CLASSIC moves which is what goku will do for someone HE DOESNT take seriously. But like i said, they made him look like a fool, by not only going through all fo his forms but using the SAME battle tactics through out until he was almost killed, since when doesnt goku learn from his mistakes??? uh huh, i didnt think so either. |

Not really because Goku had SS3 where Vegeta didn't, so they Still could be equal in Base and Goku still be the strongest of the Saiyans, so I just threw the steak back at you...nice counter though, you deserve props for that. Also, there is such a thing as taunting and Baby Vegeta kept taunting in both fights, even right After Goku went SS4 and Baby was Still weaker than Goku.

So are you saying Super #17 before ANY absorptions? In that case, I'm sure even Vegeta could've beaten him then, but they all blasted him with their best moves before they fought him as Super Saiyans. |

not denying that either, but they were feeding him and DIDNT know what they were even doing let alone making him stronger, NONE of them saw it even though it was obvious he shouldnt be that strong, TWO fused 17 make a super 17, thats cool, but to take on ssj3 tier type characters?Its the reason why he absorbed energy to get stronger in the first place, THAT plot hole would just be wayyyyyy to big IMO, i never denied vegetas ssj2 was ssj3 tier type power but for him to be stronger than Oob or ultimate ssj gohan? makes no sense. So his feats were really out of place. Super 17 being stronger than baby is a ridiculous notion as well, which is what this saga is saying really. Otherwise his programming was flawless. Honestly. He had goku by the nuts as toei all of sudden decided to make this guy to hard for goku to figure out. Which in rwality is the ONE thing i have to actually object too, gokus sudden stupidity. |

Okay, then I agree with you, I think. If you think Super Oob was in the upper levels of Bebi's strength, then yeah, SSj/SSj2 Vegeta shouldn't have been able to do better than him against S17. I can see him being stronger than Gohan, though, since that's not really contradicted by anything. |
