If Yajirobe had bothered to train seriously and took part in battles, could he have been of more use? In Dragonball he was stronger than Tien. As shown by how he faught evenly with Goku after he had received a zenkai. If he had continued to train, I think he could have rivalled Picollo and Goku in power. At least until after King Kai trained Goku. Nappa might have even been beaten if Yajirobe had applied himself more. Of course that would mean that Vegeta would kill evryone there. But my point is that I reckon Yajirobe could have done some real good if he hadn't been such a lazy coward. |

I'm not so sure Goku got a zenkai, the fact Akira Toriyama hadn't even thought of them yet makes it more or less impossible, plus I don't think he was even close to death. Anyway I'd say he'd become about as "Useful" as Krillin or Tien in the later sagas. Edit: Yajirobe isn't really a coward. Edited by Clearin, Aug 31 2011, 03:41 PM.

Apparently he had great fighting potential (I think according to the Daiz) and it's easy to see why. He was basically on a par with 22nd Budokai Goku without doing any training whatsoever. If he learned how to manipulate Ki I think he would be up among Yamcha, Krillin and maybe Tien. |

Well he was already at Tien's level without doing any training. So if he had applied himself he may have been equal with Picollo in the Saiyan saga. |

I agree. He was very strong when we first saw him in DB and all he did was eat all the time. If he had done serious training with the rest of the group he probably would have become the most powerful human. |

goku didn't get a zenkai there. he wasn't badly injured, just knocked out. once he woke up and got some food in him, he was fine. |

list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god | |

He could probably be around the same strength as Yamcha or Krillin, but he would be useless in later sagas |

He would've been more useful than yamcha or chaozu that's for sure. |
