 I'm curious about this quote;

Chapter: 514 (DBZ 320), P5.3
Context: as pure Boo beats up on good Boo some more
Vegeta: “…This is bad…Have you noticed, Kakarot?...The fatso’s power is falling…If it’s Boo against Boo, then he could take damage…”

Does this suggest that no Buu can ever take any damage (apart from getting wiped out completely in one go of course) if it isn't another Majin Buu dealing the damage?
It does make sense considering no other Buu has been 'damaged' to the extent that Mr Buu was damaged vs Kid Buu DESPITE several of the other forms being laid a beating by superior opponents.

Basically the point of this is it explains why SSJ3 Goku wasn't able to deal damage with his Kamehameha.

I'm sure Goku could easily beat the fat Majin Buu to a pulp if he wanted to.

You have missed the point. In no case has any Buu been weakened in hand to hand fighting or normal Ki attacks apart from Mr Buu vs Kid Buu.

Super Buu wasn't weakened by Gohan, Buuhan wasn't weakened by SSJ Vegetto, Fat Buu wasn't weakened by SSJ3 Goku and Kid Buu wasn't weakened by SSJ3 Goku.
However although the gap between Kid Buu and Mr Buu is smaller than all of the above, none of them were damaged apart from Mr Buu against Kid Buu.

 The gap between Kid Buu and Mr. Buu didn't seem small. They were also trying to fight to the finish. Buu's don't really like seeing each other.

Super Vegito only played around with Buuhan to stall. Gohan didn't have a lot of time with Super Buu, but I'm sure he would've owned him. And Goku only played around with the happy fat Buu.

It's obvious Buu's don't take damage the same way as Saiyans, but I'm pretty sure they'd get damaged if they were to get hit hard enough.

I also forgot to mention Gotenks' SGK vs Super Buu which crippled him to ***** yet he was as good as new after regen.

The problem with your explanations are the facts that they still hit them with full force. Toying is overused as a term to describe fighters stronger than someone else fighting.
The facts are;

A) SSJ Vegetto still tried vs Buuhan because if he didn't, Buuhan would have beaten him and he wouldn't have gotten frustrated.

B) Gohan was still going at Super Buu with everything he had. The only thing he didn't do was finish him.
...and its the same for the rest.


Also FYI, the gap between Mr Buu and Kid Buu is smaller than the other examples I listed.

 Well. Buu's are made of magic. You know! Bibidi Babidi Buu? lol

But it's obvious energy attacks aren't very effective. Unless you can completely finish it off using one. Goku's Kamehameha's couldn't do it. It took the Earths and it's people for energy to pull it off.

I'd say if you could lower a Buu's power in battle then finishing it off should be much easier with Ki attacks.

They aren't invincible which means there are definite weaknesses! :D

 Well I did say that they could get wiped out in one go via a MASSIVE energy blast but my point was that regular Ki attacks and hand to hand combat didn't effect them.

So I think Vegeta's quote actually proves that Buus can only receive damage through normal Ki attacks and hand to hand if they are being hit by another Buu. It makes sense really. The magical qualities must enable this.

 Oh I see. It's a definite possibility. But Vegeta was only describing what he was seeing. Though he was part of Vegito so the statement could have more fact than meets the eye. Good find.

I think the gap between Super Boo and Gohan isn't much more than 30-40% personally, so yes, bigger than that. But definitely not the gap between SSj Vegetto and Gohan-Boo, which is at least 3.5x in my opinion.
