I don't think their attacks define how strong their power level is Quite the opposite really, how strong he is would determine how strong his spirit ball is.

Whatever it was he used on the Saibaman, it clearly didn't work. |

So the power levels we got from official was there like...base battle fighting standard power then right ? I'm asking a question Like how goku standard battle power is 416 against raditz but when powering up attacks like kamehameha it sky rockets to 900+. Edited by shonen, Aug 5 2011, 10:43 PM.

Goku was 416 but his Kamehameha was 900+ So if Yamcha was 1,200 then his spirit ball would be 2,400 (I'm just using a random number, there's no proof his spirit ball is actually x2 his power) But if the Spirit ball was 1,200 then Yamcha would be 600 |

I guess so? I'm not sure the spirit ball can kill though.. it doesn't look like it can. |

The spirit ball is explosive not penetrative. Also it's a very weak attack compared to the kamehameha or even the dodon ray. Radditz could probably block it easily enough. It's slow too. lets take a look at all the techniques yamcha has displayed. Wolf Fang Fist. Proved useless shortly after it was displayed for the first time. Kamehamea. Strong attack, but Yamcha has only ever mastered the basic version on the move. Not useful against opponents who understand how to defend themselves from Ki blasts. Spirit Ball. I mentioned above how it was relatively weak and slow compared to other people's attacks. That's it. That's all he ever showed thoughout Dragonball and Dragonball Z. He's rubbish. I'd bet Radditz could take him out with his double sunday attack. |

The Spirit Ball got him a compliment from Kami, it was far from weak. And Yamcha says Kami had to have been fast to dodge it, proving that the spirit ball isn't slow either. |

But Kami still dodged and blocked it. An old namek using a normal human as a host managed to defend against it. What do you think the result would be if it was Radditz? It is a weak move. I just don't think Yamcha has anything to use on Radditz. |

Much stronger. Enough to make a fool out of him without trying, the Spirit Ball was the only thing Yamcha did in the whole fight actually scared Kami. |

It was a supressed kami and not only that but he was using a human's body which would have weakened him further. He was demonstrating that technique wins over brute strength and fancy moves by proving that he could even beat him in a weak humans body. |

I was talking about their match in the 23rd budokai ![]()
He used that body so Piccolo (And Goku) didn't know it was him, not to prove anything. |

Regardless he still proved that point. Yamcha was always just showing off fancy moves with no real substance. Proved again when he faught the Saibaman. And with Goku, Tien and the Mummy. He sucks as a fighter and could never take Radditz. There's a reason he doesn't get past the first round of tournaments. |
