Both unlock your potential right? Then why do some say Majin potential wears off rather than lasting like Mystical. What is the difference if there is any? |

The Majin Seal makes you stronger than your current potential, so it doesn't just unlock your potential, it makes you even stronger than that. Also the Majin Seal puts you under control of Babidi, and it wears off when Babidi or the character dies. The mystic power up was just releasing your current potential, no more no less. |

Unlocks your potential? Makes stronger than your potential. Wouldn't Majin Seal be better than? How is that true when Mystical is clearly stronger as we see with Gohan. |

It would be better. I personally think that they kind of messed up the Majin seal. It's stated that it pushes people past their potential yet Majin Vegeta was equal to SSJ2 Goku. You cannot tell me that Vegeta's full potential is equivalent to Goku's SSJ2 form. |

Simple, Gohan had more potential. Babidi says he's taking Vegeta's strength past his limits. |

So then it isn't a potential unlocker? Rather a multiplier of sorts. |

The way I saw it was Old Kai: Unlocking Current Potential Babidi: Unlocking current potential, then adding more. |

It's because the seal is what bestows the user power, we see this from Spopovich; for the abilities he showcased at the tournament puzzled the Z Fighters since it did not reflect what they could normally sense from Ki. Without the seal, they're just normal humans, which is why once it is removed, the power it once granted would be gone along with it. Whereas, the Elder Kaioshin's ritual is not reliant on some synergist.
That's incorrect. The Elder Kaioshin makes it clear that it puts them above their limitations by far: Chapter: 479 (DBZ 285), P10.1-5 Context: Elder Kaioshin explains his ‘ability’ Elder Kaioshin: “With my psychic powers, I can take the hidden power which anyone has, no matter how amazing a master they may be, and draw it wa~~ay, wa~~ay out above their limits. Ehehehehe…Have you ever heard of an ability like that?” Kaioshin and Kibito: “Oooh!” Goku: “Wh-what?...Ain’t that the kind of ability you hear about fairly often?” Elder Kaioshin: “Wh-what are you talking about…?! Above their limits! Above! There de~~efinitely isn’t anyone else that incredible! Edited by Super Gohan, Aug 1 2011, 02:27 AM.

If Babidi's wore off, then so should Elder Kaioshin's using the same logic. |

But it apparently didn't. If Babidi's seal is meant to visually represent the product of having been possessed, than Gohan's eyes being drawn 'closed' would visually represent the results of the ritual. But whereas, Vegeta's evil seal is gone after he dies, Gohan's eyes are still closed off after he is revived. |

I don't think Vegeta's power was reliant on Babidi being around. I don't think it was an "active fueling" type of thing. |

But shouldn't the fact that Vegeta did not take orders from Babadi mean anything. Especially considering that the all are under control. |

It pretty much seemed like Vegeta allowed Babidi to "possess" him so he'd unlock his hidden power, and once that was done, he went about his business. I don't think Babidi could've put it back inside Vegeta, really, but he is a wizard, so I dunno. |

A Seal is to protect something. So how is that Vegeta's potential was unlocked? If the every purpose of "seal" was broken? |
