Oh I love this thread!! My childhood wasn't much different from yours, except that I was really into music at a very young age and I'd spend most of my time when I was around 10 years old playing acoustic guitar and creating little melodies.

I wrote my first full song when I was 13.

Other than that, I'd watch a lot of cartoons and play all the old school classic games, like Super Mario Bros, Bomberman, Sonic, etc
Pokemon was also part of my childhood, but it only started being popular here in Portugal a few years later.

Then at 14 I started getting into skateboarding and going to concerts and all that. I'd always be at skateparks with friends listening to really loud music and acting like we were the *****. :p

Gaaahhhh, so much nostalgia in this thread. :')

Legos. Lots and lots of legos. I would spend entire day just building things while listening to music. This was well before I had internet, and the only thing that would keep me busy during the summer was this. I wasn't allowed to leave the house until my parents got home until I was about 14. I loved building castles. And I wasn't ever concerned with detail, but more importantly functionality. So they always ended up looking similar to this. Size and depth also.
http://visboo.com/img/new/lego_castle_640_04.jpg

I also spent a lot of time using this electrical circuit science project kit that my dad bought me. I used to hook it up to doors, and when you opened the door it would cause an alarm to go off. Or i'd make an AM radio out of it. It really sparked my attention at a young age for my career.

Also I've been playing Magic the Gathering since 1996. I would spend hours just coming up with deck combinations. But since then i've sold and bought my cards about 3 times. I don't have any of my original cards, and I really regret selling any of them. I currently have 2 full small boxes of it, and i'm hard pressed to find anyone to play with these days.

Well tbh I still am young. But I still play video games and when I was young I used to collect yugioh cards as well. I also wasted alot of time on Pokemon Gold(even if I got lost alot back then). I also used to ride my bike alot, and I am starting to do that again soon. I also watch cartoons, but these days I read more and play video games.

I played a lot of basketball outside when I could. I also rode my bike everywhere and went fishing in the creek near my house a lot. I wasn't just a nerdy nerd.

The gun that won that old Wild West

My friends and I at school did the same thing with the yugioh cards. We never played, we didn't even know how, but we loved to collect them. I also collected those little toys that were shaped like beans but had various characters on them, some were pirates, robots, etc. Can't remember the name...

Erm. Played out when I was 3/4. Went to aldi, played in some woods, got pushed over lol. When you're 3 that's pretty mean.
Yeh I used to play pokemon on gameboy when I was like 7 onwards, and had a power rangers game too, and then eventually i had all these dodgy 50 in 1 games and stuff, but a lot of them time it was just 1 set of games out on more than once lol.

I a decent number of pokemon cards too from 6/7. My best card I ever had was a Blastoise, which I traded for a friggin fossil zapdos, which was crapper than the normal zapdos, and nowhere near as cool as Blastoise anyway. I cared about those for about 2 years, but then I went to a school where everyone thought pokemon was pretty lame.

I liked playing with toy cars, and used to take em to school and they got kicked around by little dickies. I used to watch TV whenever we had cartoon network-I'd watch stuff like dbz a bit, and powerpuff girls, and dexters laboratory, erm....hey arnold, doug, smurfs(when I like 4 occasionally), Arthur are all stuff I remember. Also cow and chicken, but that was pretty crap I thought. Used to get up early on saturdays/sundays at like 7/8am to watch citv/channel 5/other kids tv?.

When I was 8 I played sonic adventure at my neighbours(I was the 1st to do the last level(with super sonic)-hell yes). Then I got a ps2 which I rarely played. When I was 8(again lol) I used to hang out with 1 of my uncles in the limo that he drove(just a normal sized lincoln town car), and i went to see spiderman 1 with another uncle who lived nearby. Moved back to the UK, got my ps2 chipped or something so it could play PAL games, then I played more games, got like 10 games for 3 quid each and played those, but cant play those now since my old ps2 got a disc read error so I got a new 1 off ebay which can only play non-copied PAL games. Also got a dreamcast from somwhere and played Sonic Adventure. Er I still went out to play on my road. Oh yeh when I was 7 I got hit by a car on my road since I couldn't see past all the parked cars very easily when I was that short. Errr, I don't know what else really.

I had a couple of beyblades when I was 10, but they were both fake plastic 1s(well maybe theyre all plastic?) which broke dead easily. Some kids at school put a massive weight disc in them from a larger beyblade, so it killed all other beyblades, but I didnt do battles or whatever really anyway. Played on my road, went to some friends' houses too.

I also learnt to swim when I was 11, and then started going to swimming club and got better and went in some galas, although I never did better than 5th, except for in the Scouts gala where I came 3rd in the final....and got DQed for not touchin the wall with both hands at the same time, but I was pretty chuffed since I was up against people a couple of years older than me, and had only just learnt to swim recently. Oh yeh and when I was 8 I did cub scouts, and then when I was 10 I joined Scouts and did that for a couple of years, including going to Eurojam which was 1 of the best times of my life easily(like 10 days when I was nearly 12, although I had my 1st headache).
I can't think of anything good I missed out. Errrr. Yeh.

There we got spaced out a bit now, might manage to read about 7 lines of this lol.

School was a awesome place to be up until middle school. I remember staying after school as I was signed up in after school programs. I remember my life between 7-13 being consumed with Video Games. I played pretty much every kind. But the one game I constantly played over and over was Metal Gear. I remember it being so scary at first(I shouldn't have been playing it considering it was "Rated M") but eventually I was a addict to it. If I wasn't playing video games I was watching movies. Endless amount of movies did I watch in between my pre teens and teen years. I'm guessing well over 300 movies in that amount of time. Like Wolf I too watched Cartoons and day came while I was watching Cartoon Network and some weird anime came on. In the anime a man was fighting a purple lizard. Ends up later on I was watch DBZ.

Yugioh cards weren't all that in my childhood. I do however remember and miss old shows that I use to enjoy at my childhood. Some of which were far too mature for me to watch.

Simpsons(Back when it was awesome)
Family Guy(Pre Cancellation)
Kenan and Kel
The Amanda Show
All That
Rocko's Modern Life
Ren & Stimpy
Bevis & Butthead
Friends
Tom & Jerry
Looney Tunes
Are you afraid of the Dark
Power Rangers
Goosebumps
and lot more that I'm forgetting at the moment.

Oh wow. I forgot lego too.
Lego and k'nex was my thing, I could and would sit for hours building and moving my legomen around in fake battles, I had all the little medieval things.

I also played a few games on my dads pc, like Dark Omen, Caeser IV and Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was never that good but I just played them a lot.

I read. I'm still a big readr but I could sit and reread a whole series over a weekend and say maybe a handful of words a day.

I ued to be in a rugby club but I fell out with some people there and I stopped going. I really should've kept it up.

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

I'm not creative. Give me legos and the most I would do is see how far I could throw them to hit a target so far away.

I had one of those yes. Speaking of lego. I had this grey plastic sheet with lego bumps on it. I never used it for lego though, I used to pretend it a was a budokai ring and have all my action figures compete. Gohan or Vegeta usually won :p
