like i said, he can die but be raised to become more, hence my reasoning for the entity type being he developed into. Its possible goku died but then that wouldnt explain his missing body. No, i believe that through shenron, goku ascended and essentially traveled the universe helping right the wrongs done, purifying and protecting the dragonaballs is a good concept too. So if goku is indeed a wandering spirit then he has become like a kami of some sort, because even king kai, who remained dead, was still dead in gt. If goku died i think the halo would be pretty prominent. He might not have merged with shenron, but he definitely went for a ride with him, and goku will be back, its stated he will return if the need arises. his time is passed, in heroes legacy he stated he was watching goku jr, but didnt really want to get involved until goku jr went ssj. However you want to call it, goku's neither dead or really alive, hes become eternal. Can you really consider yourself alive or dead when you can do whatever you want? im just saying, that if goku had officially died shenron wouldnt have been able to do anything as he had already brought goku back. Only porunga could bring goku back if he had died.

when people die but keep their body, their physical body disappears.

shenron brought krillin back in gt. that was krillin's 4th return, and second from shenron.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

I believe, and this came to me suddenly, it's just a more dramatic way of taking him to the afterlife. You know, similar in the way that Kami brought him back FROM the Afterlife in the Saiyan saga. Or Baba in the Buu saga.
why would the dragon take him away to die, when first of all the dragons Asks him if he wants to come in a question form.

hes probably like the guardian of the dragon balls now, or he eteral in spirt form like sheron himself

I thought I remembered Goku telling Vegeta that he was the protector of Earth now.

nope. dende restoring the dragonballs does not allow shenron to repeat wishes from kami's time. that's why shenron couldn't bring back goku after the cell games. the gt wish to bring everyone back was simply a plothole.

Yes I pretty much think that Goku is dead. He even told Vegeta that he is now the protecter of the planet. Then he goes and says bye to everyone. He even tells Piccolo that he will get him out of hell which means he is going to the otherworld soon.

Pookie Powa!

I know this is probably going to be a troll comment, but I'll go with it. I'm just being honest.

The whole Goku being immortal and having 1000 years of life is just silly. I'm not saying they aren't true, but they made Goku wayyyy too iconic. As good as a character as he was, they shouldn't have made him to that extent. Gt just makes me mad with all the power they gave Goku, yet another reason why I dislike Gt. It is just ridiculous. Basically, the Earth can't live without Goku even though before Goku was born, people were still thriving on Earth and protecting it. It is just a bunch of bullcrap.

uh. goku got old kai's life force in z. and, goku didn't defeat a single major villain in gt without help.

saiyan power up against baby. 18 against 17, spirit bomb against omega.

it's got nothing to do with the dragonballs. have you already forgotten his 1000 year lifespan from old kai? he'll be about 995 before he starts showing any age.
That's why I asked, I'm still not that far in my Manga reading yet. The three Volumes I haven't read yet, that happens to be in one of the three I haven't read yet.

What was bs about the ending was that Shenron could actually get outside the db's without being summonded. That and when did get decide to leave the earth's guardian and go on he's own? Total bs.

Well it was the principal of it. They abused the DB's, so they needed to learn to live without them. I actially liked that.

So then it wasn't Shenron acting on he's own? Rather it was a order from dende?
