From the SEG: Character Volume:

Saiyan aging
Next Toriyama is asked whether Saiyans are always young. As a fighting race they stay young for a long time in order to maintain their power, but Toriyama explains that their actual lifespan isn’t much different than Earthlings, and they quickly deteriorate after a certain age. Toriyama adds that Saiyan hair style still changes with age, and that Nappa went bald. Like with Earthlings, hair composition various from person to person.
but vegeta said a sayains hair doesnt change from the day hes born. hence why he came out of the hyperbolic time chamber not needing a hair cut, unlike trunks who was only half sayain

what vegeta meant was that a saiyans hair maintains the same length and style, it doesn't grow out of that shape. what the seg means is that facial/body hair grow at puberty, hair may lighten, gray, or even fall out with old age. nappa was bald because he was 70 something years old, king vegeta's hair was lighter than vegeta's because e was in his late eighties, and approaching the tim when he would deteriorate.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

MFG has him around 55 during the sayian saga if I'm not mistaken. Also he's got a dark mustache unless he dyed it I'm guessing he's still youthful in sayian terms.

oh, 55? that's nothing, then. vegeta was 52-53 when dbz ended. he was about 60 when gt ended (shenron arc, not jr. time).

Nappa was 50-59 when he and Vegeta invaded Earth (25-34 when Planet Vegeta blew). I'm not sure how old King Vegeta was.

for king vegeta, i was going by him being alive for the war. if he was going to lead the saiyans, he'd need to be at least a teenager, which would put him in his late 80s or early 90s.

it was pretty clear when the tuffles said the raid happened centuries ago, it might have been the translation, but it was insinuated tha it was alot longer than even 100 years, too many inconcistencies with the series. Plus goku got 1000 year life span from old kai, but im supposed to believe he and vegeta only about a century later have their last fight? how is vegeta alive? how did goku get old then? At needs to be more specific on how the aging process works.

AT has forgotten more db than he remembers. he's said so himself. also, all references to the war on planet vegeta are filler, iirc.

kami sent the z fighters back 100 years, to the immediate aftermath of the war, where they fought the 2 saiyans. that is the only date given in the actual dbz anime. everything else comes from gt and an ova that doesn't fit the timeline.

All I know is that saiyans still look young when they reach their 60's. Look at Goku or Vegeta in DBGT. Or even Nappa in Z, wasn't he in his 50's? He looked 20 years younger. lol

yep. they stay young until they near the end of their lifespan, and then age extremely quickly. they don't live much longer than humans on average though. so, 80-90 on average, and maybe up to 120-130 in rare cases. or goku, who gets a full 1000. i know toriyama says differently in the dbo storyline, but i'm sticking with old kai on this.
