A quick note about the project below. This is actually our first adventure, just without all the dice rolls and with some editing and rewording from me. New story details have been added as well, that were after thoughts in the original game sessions. Everything that happened in the chapters that follow actually happened. Be warned, there is some cursing and quite a bit of violence, but more so in later chapters. For the most part though, I believe all the really bad swears are ***** out. If you're bothered by this, you can read an uncut version on the boards where the RPG is held.

Without further delay, here it is, hope you guys dig it.

Dragon Ball: Afterlife and the Journey to the West

Prologue:

In the far future, Dragon Earth is in a state of peace. The warriors that fought to protect the Earth from Majin Buu have left behind a legacy that will last until humanity is no more. But elsewhere, trouble is brewing on the planet Barbos, a world inhabited by the Saiyans that escaped Freeza’s attack on Planet Vegeta. They have long since forgotten their heritage.

Despite not knowing their roots, the Saiyans continue their destructive and corrupt ways; as a civil war grips their planet in constant strife and chaos. Their self proclaimed god of a dictator, a Super Saiyan with strange genetic abilities, governs them with an iron fist.

New Namek’s elder has also set his sights on the newly discovered Saiyan planet, called Barbos. So he’s sent his greatest disciples to tame the Saiyan planet and bring peace to them. The Elder knows the danger that the Saiyans present, if even one of them found a way to harness their immense potential, the results could be disastrous if that power were to fall into the wrong hands.

Meanwhile, a rogue cult of Namekians is also targeting the planet for unknown reasons. The race is on to save or destroy the soul of the Saiyan race. The Namekians have a new mission, a crusade to ensure that these fledgling Saiyans find peace, and do not rediscover their evil ways. Sending several ships out into space, the Namekians race to establish a Kami of this new world.

Chapter 1: Enter the Vegits

Location: Planet Barbos, Taimat’s Personal Training Court

Taimat shoved his fist through his training slave’s stomach and twisted at his gut from the inside. The training partner lurched forward, coughing and gagging on his own breath. Taimat let his hand fly across the training slave’s face, causing him to fly across the room and slam into one of the walls.

“Damn it,” Taimat said, annoyed and equally bored. “This one’s broken too.”

They always broke, and they were always too weak for progress. How was Taimat supposed to get any stronger with worm fodder to train with? He scoffed and spit on the training slave’s corpse, as he turned and walked towards the mechanical double doors that lead into his personal conference room. He was in deep thought now, and focused on his mission to become the strongest Vegit on the planet.

It wasn’t power that merely thrilled him, not even carnage… it was the thrill of the fight. The sheer adrenaline rush that one got in the middle of a fierce battle. He especially delighted against those that feared his power, that look of complete anguish before death. Ah, it was better than the finest slave woman, and the finest food.

Then it occurred to him. Something that his people used to do, before machines were invented to determine the power of newborn children. He’d hold a competition, with fighters that weren’t pre-selected by his cabinet. He’d personally choose the best of the warrior population for his own training purposes.

His real motives were deeply repressed, a longing for strength that stemmed back to his own humiliation at the hands of his brother. He frowned, as a remnant of memory passed through his mind’s eye, and faded.

Taimat allowed a smile to travel across his face as he stepped into his conference room, neatly decorated with the bodies and skeletons of some of the strongest warriors he’d ever faced. He sat at his table, pouring a protein-drink into a skull-cup he had fashioned from one of his more annoying enemies.

“View-screen, call cabinet leader.”

Suddenly, the view screen at the end of the hallway lit up, to the surprise of one of his orderlies.

“Sleeping on the job again, Maggot?” Taimat always gave his cabinet affectionate nick-names.

“N-no sir!” Maggot sat up in his chair, fixing his outward armor and giving Taimat his undivided attention. “What can this humble servant do for the great and terrifying Lord Taimat?”

“I want you to do a search through the entire province,” Taimat began, noticing the blood stains on his own training garments. “Find me the strongest warriors from the surrounding area and draft them into a competition I’ve just drafted up.”

“T-the strongest?”

“Yes,” Taimat began, taking a quick slurp from his skull-cup and setting it down on the table. He crouched forward, allowing the darkness in his gaze to come into full view. “I want to hold an exhibition, where I can watch each and every fighter progress through a series of battles to determine how strong they are, and if they’re a worthy match against me.”

“Umm,” Maggot allowed the one finger he had left on his right hand to rise. “Are you not satisfied with the training slaves we’ve brought to you?”

“No, I’m not,” Taimat scoffed, gesturing to Maggot’s one finger. “And if you want to keep that last finger, I suggest that you find me some real talent to fight against!”

“Yes! I will get on it right away, sir!”

“And send someone up to clean my training garments, that training slave bled all over me.”

Taimat shut the view screen off and leaned back in his chair, taking periodical drinks from his skull-cup and looking in the mirror. “Watch out King Barbos. Our rematch is imminent.”

Location: Darapos Fort, SouthEastern Boarder.

Octavius looked on past the gate, a feeling of longing passing through his being, "I can't believe I'm going back to this wretched place." He was looking towards the gate to Taimats region, a mix of hatred and pride flowing through him. He decided that he needed to go back to find some form of library or official record of his family.

He left his family behind when he fled the region. His history, and as of a recent decision. His family seal, something that marks the Astondo name and power. After the initial fear of flight wore off he saw himself only as a coward. He swore that if he ever returned he wouldn't leave until he had achieved his destiny.

"It seems like such a simple goal. I head in there. Take the power for myself. Then decide what to do next. So let's get started." He thought to himself, attempting to convince his better self that this was actually a good idea. He began walking under the gate. The guard grunted at him as he passed.

On the far side he saw before him a pass, leading downwards into a valley covered in trees. With one more thing. His future.

Several hours later, traveling through to the other side of the woodland canopy. Octavius came out of the woods at a town. It wasn't a big town being so close to the boarder. But it sounded well populated from over the walls. After a short argument with the guard on the manner of his species which almost ended in blows. He entered the town.

The Town was like a shadow beneath Taimat’s great tower stronghold, a constant reminder to the lower Vegit scum that dwelled below his gaze. Just before Octavius was a fork in the dirt path, leading further into the town. A view screen floated above the ground displaying the words “To Market”, on the left side and “To Fortress: Access Prohibited to Civilians” to the right.

The air was full of dust, and smelled of Vegits that hadn’t showered in days. This was more like a slum than a town. Disease markers on the giant stone walls were a constant warning to anyone who didn’t have the Ki to ward off the more devastating plagues. So much for technology.

So I was wrong... This place is a dump, Octavius thought to himself. "I swear this place needs some class." He frowned in the general direction of the tower. Before removing his neckerchief and covering his mouth.

He didn't really need it to keep the diseases away, but he figured it'd be best to at least make an attempt at hiding his identity lest he get swarmed by unwanted company before he could find someone intelligent enough to give him the information he wanted.

He turned and walked into the market. Along the way he noticed many beggars and homeless. It was a sight which didn't move him. There wasn't time.

On the inside the town was in slightly better shape than one might have assumed from the entrance. Service drones floated through the dust filled environment, scanning every living thing for one reason or another. Beggars and homeless, men and women, the lowest of the low, clung to the sides of venders looking for a few credits here and there.

A vendor took noticed of the masked Octavius, and a toothless grin crawled across his weathered face. “Oh, mister! You looks like you could use some supprise!”

An old beggar to the side of the elderly man’s vending cart, was shocked at Octavius’ appearance, staring at him with his one good eye, he almost seemed to recognize him.

Octavius noticed the beggar, He raised his head so his face was more hidden in the shadow of his hair. He turned to face the vendor.

"A surprise is the last thing I'd want from this place. Give me a steamed potato and water. Preferably cold." He leant against the stall with a single arm. "I have traveled far and am no longer in the mood for games."

The vendor looked at him, the way Octavius' head was set he couldn't read the emotion very well. But he could still feel the beggar’s eyes on him. Burning a question.

He lowered his head and squinted his eyes. "And what do you want, my semi-disease ridden annoyance?" Octavius then noticed the beggar’s tail. It was cut in half. But hadn't grown back. What is this feeling? Octavius's mind wondered. Pity? sympathy? No, not from me.

A flash of anger entered his mind, but he decided not to act on it yet. It would still call too much attention to him. Too early.

The old vendor noticed Octavius’ gaze, frowning, “Yer lucky, stranger! Taimat’s been ordering most of us have our tails cut in half to reduce our power.” He scratched his chin, staring up at the fortress tower above them. “Though, I don’t really feel any different… that might just be because I’m not that strong.” The old man gestured back to Octavius, who looked more than a little impatient. “Oh, yeh wanted a potato and some water? That’ll be five credits.”

The old man turned around, not waiting for a response, slapping his hand on the table behind him, presumably to kill a large domestic bug. “I’ll have that cooked and ready in just a moment!”

Octavius removed his attention from the beggar, as he was contented not to respond. He dug around his pockets and extracted the requested credits.

After arranging them in his hand, he looked around. He noticed an overturned stool. He squatted, acquired, then righted the stool. After testing it with a single arm he sat down at the far left of the bar which separated him and the vendor.

After the food trade was finished, while eating Octavius decided to play on the vendor’s hospitality. "I'll tell you what a pleasant surprise would be. If I could find some form of records. Or history book for old families here." Octavius examined the knife provided for his potato. It seemed clean enough. So he began to cut into his potato.

"I think I might forget some more money if I had this information." He said without looking up from his food.
The old beggar looked as if he had seen a ghost, peering behind Octavius at something, with fear in his eyes, he quickly turned and left. The street seemed to clear at that very same moment as three four foot tall Vegits walked towards Octavious’ position.

They all seemed to stop at the same time. Two males and a female, the female came forward, placing her hand upon her midget hips.

“You look too clean to be a resident of this dump,” the midget accused. She tossed a sneer towards her other two compatriots and giggled. “Identify yourself, or face the wrath of Lord Taimat!”

Hm, so it begins. Octavius chuckled quietly to himself. He gestured up over his shoulder with his left hand. "I am a traveler from the world abroad."

He leaned backwards and turned to his left without arising from his seat so he could see his assailants more clearly. "Please join me, I noticed this vendor sells Small and Simple meals for a quaint price."

Once that was said and he felt that the woman was fairly angered he decided to tempt them further and turned back to his meal and continued eating as if they were instantly forgotten.

As soon as the potato touched his lips he felt a quick pang of regret. This had already made it much harder for him to find the information he was looking for. Who would give him directions if he had been targeted by Taimat, albeit it must be a wavering gaze if he'd send people like THIS out to greet him.

“My name is Worm, and I am the first of many gauntlets that you will face in this town,” the midget woman said, allowing her eye to twitch. “But from the looks of you, and your smart assed demeanor; I’m guessing that you’re not going to be much trouble for me.” She cocked her head forward and stepped back behind her two cronies.

“Enjoy, my brothers. Make sure not to explode his heart, I want to cook it for Lord Taimat, myself!”

The first male midget Vegit ran forward, and under the table, using an uppercut to punch the table up at Octavious’ body.

Then; he shot his hand forward through the remains of the table, charging an energy blast.

“MY NAME IS BEATLE!!”

Each blast fired from his hands in quick succession, flying toward Octavius’ position as if they were miniature yellow rockets. Octavius shouted as the table slammed into him, a glancing blow at best but enough to distract him. Just as the pieces of the table hit the ground and shattered, he let out another terrified shriek as he saw Beatle’s energy barrage rocketing toward him. With quick nimble movements, he managed to dodge and deflect a few of the blasts, only to be pelted by several others.

Beatle squinted tightly, one of the blasts having blown up in his face. He shook his head about and waited for his vision to refocus. He couldn't help but cringe as he heard Worm's crackly voice echoing through the air, "Don't hit yourself, you moron! Hit him!!"

The last ball sailed past his head as he ducked, his hands gripping the earth as he crouched in waiting. Octavius sported a smirk on his face, amused at how clumsy the midget was with his energy. Not wasting time with words, he quickly let loose with a flying kick.

Beatle managed to block, his arm bending slightly from the force of the blow. Octavius followed through, using his footwork to get some distance on him before charging forward with a roundhouse kick. The blow sent Beatle reeling to the side, saliva and blood falling from his mouth to the dirt below.

"I'll tell you what! I’ll let you see my strength!" He took aim at Worm suddenly.

Flames appeared around Octavius’ body, lightly scorching everything nearby, Beatles semi-unconscious body curled into a fetal position as a final attempt to save it's life. The beam of pure energy sailed around Octavius' arm and collected around his finger, pooling into a single star-like ball of light before launching from his finger. "I put all of my power into this attack, It must work." Octavius thought, as his attack barreled through the air toward Worm’s body.

Beatle’s daze didn’t last long, seeing Octavius rush towards him with a flying kick. Beatle attempted to duck beneath the range of the kick.

Worm was shocked as she was hit head on by the blast. Skidding across the ground, her feet dug small trenches in the dirt as she crouched low, attempting to stop her own momentum. Finally, the blast’s energy faded into nothingness and dissipated. Worm smiled beneath her helmet.

“Not bad, punk!” Worm laughed, standing up and gesturing at Octavius, her gloves smoking from having touched Octavius’ blast for so long, “But there’s still two of us, and only one of you! And it would seem that you’re winded after that last attack! Do you give up?”

It was true, she had him dialed in. But he wouldn't give up. Foolishly enough his Pride wouldn't let him. Finally an idea struck him, perhaps he could find a way out yet. He threw his arms out as if he were grasping a table from the underside. Shook his hair from his eyes. Tried to look as powerful as he could manage. He locked his eyes in on the Vegit behind Worm.

"Didn't you see what I just did!" He stepped and faced sideways towards them. Pointed towards the Vegit behind Worm with such intensity that vanes were beginning to bulge from his forehead. "I conquered Beatle and I’ll destroy you too!!"

Like a fool, Mud’s skin ran cold with fear, as he let out a retarded yelp and ran for safety flailing his tiny arms out at every possible angle as he did so. Worm was not impressed by the gesture, and began to walk toward Octavius in an attempt to shield her embarrassment.

“So you’ve managed to fool a mentally challenged midget with a meager fighting power,” she chuckled, pointing her arm at Octavius. “You should know, though… you didn’t kill Beatle!”

Suddenly, Beatle sat up and grabbed for Octavius’ legs. And at that very same moment, Worm let out a horrible scream as her aura surrounded her body, “MY PRIDE WILL ALLOW ME TO KILL YOU!!

With her pride fueling her every move, she grinned at Octavius and lunged forward, hurling her own attack at Octavius.

Octavius smile beneath his mask wavered as the wave of yellow death sped toward him. He'd only had this one chance, and he’d blew it. He had failed. But wait, the spark of a idea appeared in his mind.: If he couldn't move up or away. He'd move down.

Beatle had a death grip on Octavius's leg. He was counting on that. As he fell backwards and used the force provided by that and his own strength he lifted Beatle into the line of attack.

EEP!” Beatle screamed, as his body was launched into Worm’s Energy Attack, causing his little body to explode into a cloud of crimson dust on contact.

A muddy red smoke filled the dirty-town-street turned battle field, as it cleared, Worm was clearly pissed off. Now she was at a disadvantage, and knew it.

Grinding her teeth together in frustration and getting into a fighting stance, she could only say one thing before she charged at Octavius.

“Well, played.”

She launched her little body through the air with such force, that even grown men would have a hard time not flinching at the sight.

The sound of Worm was all he needed to know. He calmly stepped to the left. He knew she had nothing left.

“ROCKET-PUNCH!!”

The attack connected with incredible force, causing him to reel in pain. He couldn't believe it, he almost didn’t have time to react as…

Not even checking to see if her attack landed, Worm continued her attack with several follow up strikes. Aiming a power kick towards Octavius’ groin.

“LIGHTNING KICK!!”

Octavius vision went white as the attack connected. He couldn't feel his body. He staggered backwards almost falling over from the extreme pain that shot through his legs and made them weak.

“BARREL SWEEP!!” Worm screamed, she attempted to sweep Octavius’ legs out from under him.

Worm’s foot passed over nothing, as Octavius fell unconscious. She pun around and landed on the ground, scraping her elbows and knees up as her body slid to a spinning stop.

Octavius had passed out before he could hear Worm's embarrassing failure, or see it for that matter.
Worm looked around the empty street, as she contemplated killing the mysterious Vegit warrior. She didn't like that she had nearly been killed by the bastard, but she also knew that Lord Taimat would probably kill her if she made another mistake.

“How embarrassing…” she said under her breath.

Suddenly, her communication device began to sound at her side. She stood up, and dusted herself off as it continued to sound. She wanted to compose herself before speaking to him.

"Worm!" Taimat yelled. "Who was that Vegit you were just fighting?"

"No one," she replied. "A worthless low-level, barely capable of beating the likes of myself. I was just about to kill the little prick... w-with your approval of course!"

"Bring him to the healing chambers, at once. When he recovers, we'll test his strength again."

"But, why?"

"Shut up, and do what I say."

And the communicator was silenced.

Worm was more than slightly displeased, but she had to do what Taimat asked... still... what was the he thinking? He had never been the sympathetic type. Then again, she didn’t really understand his motives, and didn’t care to try. Standing there in the dusty wind of the slums, Worm never felt more alone before in her life.

Thanks Dragonlord, I know I haven't been around a whole lot... I've been pretty bust over here. XD Too much work, got marrier, etc.

And that's the main point of the project, to get rid of all the extra stuff and just make it a full fledged novel with some heavy editing and new information here and there.

Chapter 2: Enter Android 12

Worm paced in-front of Octavius’ healing tank, agitated, and glaring at him at odd intervals. The room was dark, and the only real visible light, came from the healing tank’s illuminated aqua-marine liquid and the control screens. The room was like an abyss, save for the sparse blue lights that came from the machinery. It all gave the room a false sense of serenity.

Tapping her fingers, and glaring at Octavius’ naked and injured form, Worm could only think of one thing. Rematch. But if Lord Taimat had it his way, Octavius would be pitted against someone even stronger, and would most likely die. She couldn't have that, she wanted to test her strength against him one last time… and kill him herself.

He would kill her if he found out, and he most likely would. But that didn’t matter to her, she felt cheated by his survival. Why was it that only the higher level warriors got to kill whoever the hell they wanted? Worm thought to herself, resisting the urge to spit on the glass-window of the healing tank.

She’d get her vengeance, if not sooner, then later. There must have been a reason why Lord Taimat wanted this low level trash placed in the recovery tank… was he hiding a secret? Suddenly, she was determined to know.

Worm found herself at the door, grinning like the mad midget woman she was. Yes, she thought. I’ll get at you later.

Suddenly, the room was empty, save for the healing tank’s glow, and Octavius’ unconscious body.

Taimat was clearly pissed off. There just weren’t enough strong fighters in his region. He growled, staring at the report on the mysterious stranger with. His power level was sure to have increased greatly, but it still wouldn’t be enough to satisfy his appetite.

He thought about increasing his search to other provinces, ones where the general population had been kept in better condition. A sudden pang of regret came upon him; perhaps he shouldn’t have ordered all the slum dwelling maggots tails cut in half? Nah, that was good sport, he thought to himself.

It would be difficult to increase the range of his search without alerting the ruling faction, and violating any treaties that might have been in place. His gloved hand found its way to his chin, and he began thinking. I’ll need some disguises, he mused. Perhaps I can send some of my men dressed in THEIR attire?

Taimat began to chuckle, thinking himself a genius. With his sudden change in mood, the furniture was safe from harm.

He pressed the com button.

“Yes, master?” Maggot replied, his eyes having been pried open with a metallic torture device to keep him from sleeping.

“Find me some West, North and East henchmen uniforms, and mass produce them. Then send a few squads out to each area to scout for potential contestants in my contest.”

“Yes, master.”

Taimat didn’t wait for Maggot to ask another stupid question. He turned around, peering down upon the slums and the middle class through a large window in his conference room, as if he were a god. From up there, they all looked like ants. His super-massive fortress cast a shadow over all of them, and nearly blocked all of the sunlight around the center of the city. He enjoyed robbing them of every pleasure, just as King Barbos had done to him. It was a vicious cycle, but Taimat loved the thrill, and the control he had over those weaklings.

Placing his hand on the glass, he had a sudden thought, “If I can’t FIND warriors that are my match, I shall CREATE them!”

****

Octavius was swimming, or at least it seemed that way to him. But without moving his body, he realized. He could feel wetness. Something coming down on him from above. A cooling, almost tranquil sensation in and of itself.

Hmm... This can't be possible. One second I'm fighting stools with arms, another I'm... Where am I? Octavius felt further out. Feeling everything he could with his mind. Water was the first thing he felt. Wait a moment... If I'm underwater how can I be breathing?!

A brief moment of panic ensued, but quickly subsided as he felt the suction of a mask to his face. He also felt something flowing into his arms as soon as panic set in. A sedative maybe?

Then, suddenly things began to add together. The mask, the sedative, the water. The sensation. He was in a healing tank. The problem was, the math didn’t add up.

Alright, who would save me. Octavius pondered. The Vendor? No, I was to short with him. He wouldn't have a care in the world. Wait. The beggar! But why? It doesn't make sense. Yet he looked as if he knew me. How could he have paid for something like this if he's a beggar!?

Exasperation swept over Octavius, it was enough to trigger another sedative. His mind thus cooled. Began thinking again. Hang on a tic. That Girl!

“Not bad, punk!” Worm laughed, standing up and gesturing at Octavius. “But there’s still two of us, and only one of you! And it would seem that you’re winded after that last attack! Do you give up?”

Hpmh, she's taken me captive. No matter, I'll deal with her later. But for now, I'm in need of healing. In his mind he gestured to the various bruises and breaks. Specifically the one brought on by the last kick he was issued. So I'll take what I can get for now. But when I get fully restored. I'll be sure to repay her double for what she's attempted on my body.

*****

I feel like I have been flying for hours now, and still no sign of a city of any sort.

#12 thought to himself. In a brief recap of his reactivation he had found himself on a strange planet, most of his data had been corrupted, his scanners malfunctioned, and most of all his internal circuitry had been damaged.

It will be some time before I can repair myself and my scanners can only scan life forms a few feet away from me. As for my data, the only way I can repair the corrupted files is to find the gaps myself. I wonder what happened to the doctor, honestly I couldn’t care less; though I still wonder.

He stopped suddenly and scanned the horizon ahead. Through the haze of the desert he had been flying over he could just barely see the skyline of a city, or the slums of a city ahead and to the West after a deep and vast forest. Above it, the silhouette of Taimat’s saucer shaped stronghold barely registered on his scan. His capsule now lied several hundred miles behind him due south and as he flew he scanned the area adding a map database to his files of this strange planet.

I guess that's where I will begin my search of my target.

With that he bolted with great speed towards the city slums and upon reaching them he landed on top of the stone outer wall that separated the slums from the outside land. He looked around at the people walking and dwelling there, he could see that these people had tails but they didn't appear to be intact and they had slightly above average power levels to your standard human.

These creatures are of the same race that my target is, however not a single one of these weaklings come close to the amount of power predicted of my target or his allies....well, maybe the loud mouth one with the scar on his face.

As Android 12 sat atop the stone wall, the denizens of the slum, who would normally be focused on the massive mushroom shaped fortress above them that cast a massive shadow over the land, noticed this small Android instead.

Below Android 12's gaze were tents and shattered brick and mortar homes without roof tops arranged in odd intervals. The streets weren't paved, nothing but dirt and dust and filthy things. A small child took notice of Android 12's lack of a tail, a smile came to his face.

"Hey mister!" He called. "Hey mister!"

The child saw a kindred spirit, since he appeared to be as of a child as well. Short black, combed back hair filled his head allowing the red coloring of his eyes to be distinguished easily, especially when compared to his deathly pale white skin. His attire was that of a slightly ripped black muscle shirt, black jeans, and Saiyan style combat boots.

He looked down to the child, giving him a cold expressionless gaze in response to being called. His internal scanners activated and analyzed the child along with the surrounding people near him, recording all data into his files.

"Power level, eight hundred.....twenty five. This is not the one I am looking for."

His gaze moved up towards the mushroom shaped palace, squinting his eyes as he did so.

Distance is too far away to analyze any life forms there. From the way the city is laid out, the strongest of these people must reside up there.

He glanced back to the child and noticed that he's still looking at him.

Perhaps I should stay here for a while. It will give me time to internally repair my systems and gather some information.

The Vegit child began to grow uneasy at the lack of response from the strange pale Vegit. He couldn't help but notice his lack of a tail, but was almost afraid to ask what happened, recalling how Taimat’s men had entered their village on that fateful day. How they subdued them with just their brute strength, and cut away at their tails with some crudely sharpened knife or sword; and then left them all to bathe in the their blood while they boasted about the deed that they had just done. Fear gripped the child’s spine, and he began to shake in his booties… somehow though, he mustered the strength anyway.

"M-Mr... how come... how come you have no tail?"

It was almost as if the stupid kid was determined to make friends, not knowing what this creature really was. Or how close he could have come to death, if it were any other Android created by Dr. Gero.

"I never had one."

He noticed that more and more people began looking towards him and he met their gaze with the same expressionless response that he gave towards the child; analyzing their power levels just the same and adding this information to his database.

"You. Tell me. Where am I? What planet is this? What is the name of your race?"

His gaze went back to the child now as he took a slight step off the wall and instead of instantly falling to the ground from the force of gravity he floated down to the ground with a soft thud of his feet meeting the ground.

The child raised a hairy eyebrow, and tilted his dirty head at the curious Android.

"You mean you're not a Vegit??" He said, with an overly excited tone to his voice and wide open eyes.
"Can I be your friend? Will you protect me from the scary people that cut my tail in half?"

"Vegit......Database updated. Corrupted files restored...ten percent."

He noticed that the child's tail was just as he said, cut in half. While the data was being compiled within his internal database, the child could see something odd with his eyes and within seconds his eyes returned to normal.

"No. I will not. I see nothing to be gained from protecting you from anything. I also require the necessary data to the questions I asked. If you wish not to answer, then I will go elsewhere."

Suddenly the child felt cold and alone. That odd flash in the strange boy's crimson eyes... suddenly, the Vegit child felt endangered.

"MOMMY!!" He screamed, running along the dirt path towards a tent in the distant haze. Which tent, no one could be sure.

His scanners attempted to stay on the child, but it was difficult to follow which tent he went into based upon the tent’s position, the number of people in the small area, and the fact his internal systems were still damaged.

"KAIYEHH!!" A more than slightly masculine voice yelled out from behind Android 12, appearing in mid air with his fist super-extended toward Android 12’s face.

Android 12 shifted his body to the right just as the punch whistled past his head and without hesitation he counter attacked to the man's now openly exposed rib cage on his right side with an open palmed forceful strike with his left hand.

The Vegit henchman was hit right in the rib cage, and sent flying up into the air like a ragdoll. Quickly noticing that he'd hit the ground if he didn't attempt something quick, he made an attempt to blast himself back to the stone wall to his right. The force wasn’t enough, causing him to fall to the ground uncontrollably whilst screaming like a complete moron.

A loud thump could be heard from the other side of the wall.

"I'LL GET YOU FOR THAT!!"

#12 paused his attack there, since he had no intention of drawing more attention to himself. He simply wanted answers, not a fight.

Suddenly, a second Vegit henchman came out of nowhere, appearing several feet above the Android, on the stone wall. He appeared to be the same height as the other one, just under six feet in height.

"Rather hostile aren't we?” Android 12 began. “I've made no aggressive action to anyone. I presume you are here to protect that child out of some false sense that I did some injustice to him?"

"You're rather strong," the Vegit henchman said excitedly. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Fly, and the moron that just attacked you is called Ant. We are two of my great lord's Henchmen, and we couldn't help but notice your strange appearance from our security drone's cameras." Fly gestured to Android 12's lack of a tail. "Did you say that you were not born with a tail?"

12’s expression did not change, analyzing the two of them, as he did so he floated up into the air and landed on the same wall that the henchman now rested upon.

Their power levels are significantly higher than most of the trash here. Still, they are not even comparably close to the power predicted of my target.

"You misunderstood me. I never said I was born, without a tail...just that I never had one. I am an artificial life form, an android, created by Dr. Gero. Since the child seemed to be rather afraid of me and unwilling to help me gain some answers, maybe you can."

He gave a momentary pause, glancing over to the Vegit that he had just hit keeping a close eye on him, not dropping his guard for a moment.

"You see, I am not aware of where I am. I would like to know the name of this planet, this city and any other information that you are willing to share with me."

Fly was a bit shocked at the Android's graceful ascent from the ground. He can fly?! He thought to himself, but only those with an elite power can do that!

Fly made an attempt to jump down to where the Android now sat, which was several feet from Ant, on the other side of the wall. Landing perfectly and striking a pose in an attempt to elicit fear in the Android, Fly made it seem as if he was several times stronger than Ant, who was still laying prone on the ground.

Glancing behind himself, Fly whispered to Ant, "Get up you moron, what are you gawking at??"

Ant pointed at the Android, shaking his index finger around with a rapid motion and not making any attempt to be subtle about his response, "H-he's gonna KILL US!!"

Not listening to Ant's protest, Fly placed his hands behind his back and chuckled.

"Don't be stupid, Ant," Fly continued. "I don't even sense any power in this one, though it is strange that he can fly. He won't be much trouble for us!" Fly paused, not seeing any emotional change one way or another, "I'm sorry, but we're under strict orders to seek out the strongest individuals in this town! And since you appear to be different from the other low-level wino scum that lives here, we've been ordered to test your power."

"G-gonna, k-kill us!"

"Shut up, ANT!" Fly yelled, looking back at Ant with a wide open mouth. "So, as the nice guy I proclaim myself to be, and of superior strength, I shall give you the first strike." Fly winked at the Android, signaling that he was done with his speech.

"Brute force seems to be the only thing you Vegits can understand. I care not for your orders,” #12 continued. “They mean nothing to me and hold no value. It seems that if I am to get the answers I seek I will have to beat them out of you...is that it?"

His eyes once again had that strange look about them as the boy saw before, this time he was uploading the technical read-outs of first Ant, then Fly.

Fly got into his standard fighting stance, raising his power level just slightly with a big cocky grin stretched across his face.

"Power levels....one thousand five hundred. Two thousand three hundred. How curious that you are able to sense power levels but are unable to do a simple technique such as flight. No matter. This shall be over in a matter of moments."

12’s feet beat at the ground like miniature jackhammers charging towards Fly and leaping off the ground. At the moment he was within striking range with a ki blast, he threw a it at the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust and debris hoping to obscure Fly's sight of him.

Fly was slightly confused at what the Android was doing, or saying for that matter. What'd all that techno mumbo jumbo mean?

Since the Android was not of flesh, he put off no energy signature and maneuvered himself behind Fly, not wasting any time and throwing a series of punches in quick succession into his back, ribs, and kidney's.

Barely having time to see the attack coming at him, Fly was shocked at the speed of the Android, but still attempted to dodge and counter attack.

Fly managed to dash forward, the attack to his back missing by inches! He didn't even have time to plant his feet before the Android vanished and appeared in front of him again. Fly attempted to force his body under the Android's attack.

The hit was so fast, he didn't even have a chance to react. His jaw hung open wide, as the Android's kick hit his chest. If he didn't know any better, he'd have to assume that this Android was stronger than him. But that was simply impossible.

"Y-You bastard!"

Before he could utter another word, the Android was punching at his kidneys. Fly couldn't and didn't have time to dodge it, feeling a sharp pain travel and stab through his side. He wanted to throw up from the pain, no one had ever hit him so damn hard in all his life.

He barely had time to notice the last hit, attempting to move his arms down to block the attack. The pain in his side was so great, that he wasn’t sure if he even cared anymore. He couldn't hear a thing, not the wind, not his own panting, nothing but the blood rushing to his head.

Finally, Fly managed to block the Android's last attack. The force from the Android's attack rippled through his arms almost to the point of breaking. Just what the hell was this creature made of?

At the last attempted hit, #12 opened his palm and in an instant a wave of energy shot from his hand.

Fly was so focused on blocking the androids physical attacks that he didn't even notice when the blast was coming for his face! He took it head on, flying backward with incredible force and velocity.

His feet dug into the dirt, as they tore through the earth, stopping him. Just from that first assault, he was covered in his own blood.

"You're not half bad," he said, gripping at his side. "But, we're b-better!"

Ant was surprised that Fly hadn't been killed in that blast. Standing up, he felt that maybe they could defeat the strange metallic midget.

"Fly! Watch out!" He screamed, as he leapt to his feet and charged the necessary energy. Several seconds later, he began heaving Ki blasts at the Android, one after another. Yellow balls of Ki flew at the Android in rapid succession.

Seconds before the first of several ki blasts came towards #12, he erected an energy barrier around his body.

Once the first ki blast connected, it kicked up dust and created a smoke cloud and grew larger as each subsequent blast connected with his barrier.

I only have a few seconds before they can see through this cloud and find out that I'm still here and unharmed. It seems that my systems were damaged more than I thought, these two should be dead by now. Oh well, it cannot be helped. The outcome will still be the same.

Suddenly, however, Ant let out a terrible shout in pain as his last blast blew up in his face. Ant was still standing, frozen in his own embarrassment. How could he screw something so simple up so fast?

Fly was shaking with fear, looking back and cringing at Ant's failure. We’re doomed… we’re just doomed!

"Idiot!” He yelled, shaking his fist at Ant. “I told you not to use that attack!"

He lunged from the cloud of smoke heading straight towards Fly while firing a ki blast at Ant without looking at him, but using his tracking sensors to locate him.

That was a pitiful attack. Oh well, I really only aimed to distract him.

Ant raised an eyebrow as the ki-blast came towards his face. "He's not harmed??" He let out a shout as he deflected the blast off to his left, hearing it collide with the ground not far behind them and explode. Then he noticed Android 12 rushing towards Fly, "FLY LOOK OUT!!"

Fly frantically looked around for him, fear digging its icy claws into his spine and holding him in place like an anchor in the sand. Android 12 was a pale skinned blur in Fly’s sight, barely even able to notice that he had slammed his left fist into his stomach.

His eyes opened wide with shock as he finally noticed the Android, his arms stock several inches above where 12 had stricken him in the stomach. His natural reflex to block the blow was no match for the Android’s incredible mechanical speed.

That searing pain tore through Fly's gut like a wildfire spreading through dried brush, it was apparent to him that he might die today. He was okay with that, surprisingly, and he wouldn't run from such a fight. Suddenly, the icy grip of fear wore off, and was replaced with the calming sense of his own pride. This fight being his greatest challenge. Ever. He was thrilled to have the privilege to fight such an amazing creature, as the pain shot through his body, a smile came cross his countenance.

Android 12, did not notice the sudden change in Fly’s demeanor, and followed a right elbow uppercut to his throat with incredible precision. The blow caught him right through his windpipe, causing his vision to blur. This Android was cutting him down with every blow. He could taste the iron in his own blood as it filled into his mouth and trickled down his lip.

Once more, Android 12 paid no mind to him, jumping off of his left leg to bring up his right knee against Fly's chest. He was too fast for Fly. Barely able to make an attempt at blocking, Fly made his best effort to catch what looked like the creature's knee flying at his chest and failed miserably. He felt his ribs buckle and shatter into a thousand pieces in that single instant. It would only be a matter of time now.

#12 finished his attack barrage as he clasped both of his hands into a tight fist and slammed them towards Fly's face. The force echoed through his entire being and forced him back several steps, causing him to stagger until he regained his balance.

Before he knew it, the lightning fast Android was on him again with fervent force. Cutting him down with one blow after another until he could barely perceive them. They were simply too fast, and he was losing the ability to feel pain.

The Vegit stumbled back, a ringing sound playing in his brain, the sweetest music he had ever heard. His one thought before collapse, I'm finally free... And Fly fell backwards and passed out, the weight of his body creating a large brown dust cloud around him upon impact with the ground.

Ant couldn't help but stare in horror and astonishment, "Y-you beat him!" He paused for a moment, not sure what to do. Then after several seconds of weighing his options, a new found confidence showed in him as well. His fist tightening into a rock hard ball of fury and anger. "I'll avenge you FLY!!"

****

Taimat stood in front of Octavius' healing tank, grinning to himself and musing over his own handy work. His hair collected neatly at his shoulders, as the light reflected off of every black spike. His entire form spoke of malice filled intent.

"I could kill you so easily right now," Taimat mused. "But then that wouldn't be all that interesting, now would it?"

Taimat paused, approaching the control panel and pressing a few keys here and there to check on Octavius' status. The blue light from the screens accented the gleam in his eyes.

"It seems that you're fully healed. Hmm. Perhaps I can bring my plan to fruition sooner than I thought?"

Taimat walked towards the other side of the room, and pressed the com button, "Send two of my slightly stronger Henchmen up here immediately!"

And with one more glance back at Octavius, Taimat left the room.

****

Worm sat on the other side of the com panel, having overheard Taimat's order. Rage filled her entire being as she sat there. She wanted to fight the Vegit again so badly it drove her insane! She'd need help though, and Mud was nowhere to be found still.

"I'll wait,” She calmed herself. “Perhaps even I can get a little stronger?"

Worm snuck out of the small communications room, and proceeded down the hallway, back to her quarters.

****

The two henchmen looked puzzled, gazing upon Octavius' seemingly frail form.

The bald one gestured to the other, pointing to the healing tank in complete puzzlement.

"Yeah," The other one began. "I guess this is the guy... should we get him out of that tank?"

Yes of course you should you dolts, but don't worry. I can get out myself, Octavius thought at them, he knew they couldn't hear him. But it amused him to think it anyway.

Raising his hand up and planting it onto the glass, a blast of pure yellow energy shot forth and shattered the healing tank’s glass covering. The blue gelatinous liquid poured out from inside as Octavius fell to the cold floor on his hands and knees.

Octavius brushed some of the water from his shoulders, at that point it became painfully obvious he had lost his clothing. He looked around for a storage container. The room dark. Too dark for a normal healing room. Something was off. He quickly noticed that the room was also devoid of a storage container, and anything else besides the three men.

"Ah," the first and largest brute said. "You're awake. I'm sure you're appreciative to Lord Taimat for being gracious enough to revive you?"

The bald brute chuckled as he watched the largest brute’s lip movements.

"Yes, I would believe so. By chance would his lordship be so kind as return my clothing to me?" He said, while attempted to hide his shameful naked tail behind his back. Lucky it's still a complete tail! Octavius remembered the beggar in the street. "You see I paid a good deal of money for it at one point and it's very important to you that I get it back."

The brute shrugged, crossing his arms and walking to a large cabinet like structure on the far wall.

"Your clothes were placed in this cabinet," the first brute said, opening the metal box and pulling it out, revealing Octavius' clothing. "Please dress yourself so that we might get on with the proceeding tests, as Lord Taimat wishes."

The other brute just stood there and eyed Octavius with wicked intent.

Octavius pressed his tail into his back, it had slipped by unnoticed until now and he hoped it wouldn't be. As he dressed himself, the others watched him carefully, probably to ensure that he didn’t try anything too stupid.

Octavius retied his neckerchief around his neck and lowered his collar over it.

"I'm going to try a guess and assume I don't have a choice on my participation?" Octavius said while at last tucking in his shirt to finish the outfit.

The large brute that had stood next to Octavius as he dressed, just grunted, standing still and making sure that the puny Vegit didn't try anything.

"Now that you are properly attired," the large Vegit began. "I can answer your questions. "Yes, you do not have a choice in the matter. My name is Spider, and the big guy over there is called Bugg. You will do as we say, and we will lead you to a training room, where we shall test your power further."

Spider paused for a second, it was obvious that he was in charge of the duo, and much stronger than the silent brute called Bugg.

"Is this understood?" Spider inquired.

Octavius thought for a moment. He figured that his powers were significantly tested earlier. But then again, he had felt different since he had come back to consciousness in the tank. It was part of the reason he decided to bust out of the tank earlier. Rather than simply be let out by the two.

"Well then, I suppose I have some time I could spare for beating something into the ground," Octavius said. "Let's get going Spider."

Spider chuckled, turning around and walking through the double doors, taking care to smack Bugg over the head to signal him to follow.

"I gotta admit," Spider began. "I'm gonna regret having to kill you, little guy. You've got spunk, and I like that."

They were walking through a cold blue metallic corridor, a hallway that stretched for miles, as it seemed. Spider seemed so level headed and calm. He was more than sure that he could beat Octavius. But Bugg kept his distance, following behind them, squinting at Octavius, trying to size him up. Bugg was deaf, but not entirely retarded.

Well, bro. We've got a wiki now with easier navigation... though, I still haven't changed that fight example in the rule-book even though it's so damn dated.

http://dragonballfanon.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball:_Majin_Killers_RPG

You can CTRL F anywhere in the rule book in this version, and I've almost gotten it completely up there, all that's left is a few combat styles, the logo, etc.

I got the third chapter ready, but I'm gonna wait on it due to having to go to class tonight.
