When I was a kid I viewed almost everything in a different light. I also made quite a few mistakes while watching Dragonball. So if any of you have done the same then list them. Here are some of mine: - I thought Frieza was female - When I initially saw Hercule I actually thought he would be a threat to Cell and was excited to see him fight - Didnt know anything was filler. So I believed every filler segment to be true to the story. I would find out years later that that was the reason the Garlic Jr. saga was so lacking. - I thought there was an actual Super Namek transformation - I thought that both Trunks and Vegeta were SSJ2's when they came out of the Rosat Some other random things: - DBZ came on half an hour after my bed time so I had to tape it off and watch it the next morning, every day. - Pretty sure I watched every episode of the Saiyan saga through the Frieza saga, most of the android/Cell episodes but for some reason I missed out on most of the Buu saga. - I think I began watching somewhere in the middle of the Saiyan saga. But after a certain episode in about the Ginyu force YTV (a Canadian channel) looped the series up to that point over and over again. Cant remember how many times I watched it. - I have an insane amount of DBZ toys. I played with them just about every day. Most importantly: DBZ was my absolute favourite show and really defined my childhood. |

This sums up my 13-15 year old years. Except I stayed up and taped the shows i missed while at school. I had about 6 VHS tapes full of nothing but DBZ. I think I still have them somewhere. Super low quality of course... |

Oh yeah, sweet child hood memories. I remember it like yesterday, when Vegeta got tail torchered by Frieza. Good times. |

Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

DBZ came on right after school for me, so I would run home from the bus stop. Although I had to start recording it later because I watched it with my brother, but he got a job at the time DBZ came on, so he had me record it for him lol It was all in the Buu saga though, so those VHS tapes are buried somewhere. I never really paid attention to power levels and such. I was just like 'ahh Vegeta, I love you!' This was, obviously, before I loved Cell yes, there was such a time =o lol |

for me dragonball and dbz came on on saturday mornings after sailor moon and wmac masters. I was already hip to the movies as i had a friend go to japan and tape a few for me. If i remember right it was super android 13, and fusion reborn, also the android saga which was on tv over there at the time. i loved it, it had no competition for me, except for the ronin warriors who came on early in the mornings before school. |

I started to watch DBZ when I was like 5 to 7. I only watch it a few times then but around when I was 8 I started to watch it everytime it came on. The difference now is that I didn't know who was stronger than who. Here is a example. 1. I thought SSJ3 Goku> Mystic Gohan 2. SSJ Vegito> SSJ4 Goku 3. I thoguh launch was stronger than raditz. LOL! 4. Yamcha could used the genki dama. 5. Thought trunks and goten = Goku and Vegeta I also though frieza was a female but when I heard goku call him a he I yelled loud! |

I watched DB/DBZ in Spain first. Then, when I came back from vacation, I watched the English version. It would always come right after school. Some of the mistakes I made was that I thought Chichi was a saiyan. I mean she kinda acts like one. Also, I thought that there would be some kind of romance between Zarbon and Bulma since she called him cute Xd. |

hahahah ya I thought that about Zarbon and Bulma too! Totally forgot about it though. I remember how shocked I was in the Android saga when we found out Bulma left Yamcha for Vegeta. I always felt they would be together forever in DBZ so it suprised me. I also thought that powerlevels in GT were in proportion to the DBZ PLs. I also thought SSJ 3 Goku >>> Mystic Gohan and I never understood why Gohan didnt go SSJ. Also I never saw any of the earlier DBZ movies so I didnt understand where the videos from the intro were coming from. I was always waiting for that stuff to happen in the series. |

Thought Yamcha was a saiyan, thought Chazou and Tien were telepathically connected, thought frezia was queer with Zarbon. I watched db at 6, I watched dragonball/Z/Gt til 18, thats 12 years... |

Gee, this brings back memories. Ahha. How I viewed DBZ, well..I was young and thought everyone looked like they had mental disorders. I really don't know, lol. ~I also thought Frieza was a girl, personally. ~I honestly had no idea what was going on because my brother explained everything in like super duper fast motion talking. ~It showed everyday after school. I'd dash off to my house from the bus station , get home, drop everything, and turn the television on. I was a spaz kid. ~I pronounced everyone's name wrong, until I got older and understood them. I pronounced Vegeta's name as Ve-get-a. I was an odd kid when it came to DBZ. I loved it so much.

"Funny how in all the fights in Dragonball Z, the fighters get thrown through mountains and crap, get beat up in everyway possible, but yet they still brush it off, but yet when a capsule blows up, Vegeta is totally screwed up"-superlucci 3 weeks ago Loved that quote. (Found it from a Dragon Ball Z video on Youtube.) "Look Vegeta! People Popcorn!" -Goku

I remember it being more action packed but that's probably because I've watched too many times now. |

i remember watching dbz every morning (virtually without fail) on an australian cartoon show in the morning called Cheez TV (they also played pokemon eps) during the saiyan saga through to the marjin buu saga but didn't see buu after being released from his prison.. or anything further eg GT i would go to highschool and during our breaks we would chat dbz, among other things. and sometimes we would go into the library and create little animated stick men dbz clips using gif animator 3. mostly they weren't too complex, just power-ups and casting big kamehameha's and such. they would always talk about movie 8 with broly and at that stage the english dubbed versions weren't out. so we had to make do with the LOOK AT ME! I'M BEING RACIST! ones. only years later did i bought all the season's of dbz and GT DBZ FTW!!! |

Yeah, me too, lol. I remember watching much of the Saiyan, Namek, and Freeza sagas pretty much everyday after school on Toonami around 5 or 5:30. I think it was 5:30 though. All I used to watch as a kid back then was DBZ, Ronin Warriors, Fresh Prince, Doug, and I think Rugrats lol. Anyway, I remember when I first saw Vegeta they were waiting for Goku to arrive in the Saiyan Saga and I remember thinking "Wow! He looks cool!" lol. I remember watching for the first time Goku going Super Saiyan and kicking the crap out of Freeza. It was probably one of the best DBZ eps I remember seeing back then. All the other episodes I never watched I'd rent at Hollywood video. They had pretty much everything up till the Trunks Saga. And then a long while passed before I started watching DBZ again. I had actually skipped the Android and most of the Trunks Sagas and started at the Incomplete Cell Saga. Eventually I ended up buying the previous sagas I had missed, but not before seeing part of the Cell Games. After that, I was on the heels of the continuing series throughout the Third Main Arc. I remember being ecstatic when I first saw Goten. For some reason I thought he was so cool. And I watched Goku fight Pikkon over and over and over and over. Except I haven't seen the fight so long that I can't remember much of it now. I first got everything on VHS, but then I eventually transferred to DVD. I also remember the first time I saw Broly in action. It was when he close-lined Trunks and threw him into the wall. I was in awe ever since then with Broly. And the first DBZ movie I ever saw was Movie 3: Tree of Might. Then it was Cooler's Revenge I believe, then Lord Slug, then Movies 1 and 2, then Return of Cooler, and then Movie 7 [which I remember getting on VHS very well]. And finally, when I got Movie 8, it was my first Dragon Ball Z movie that I got on DVD. And from there on I just continued to collect all the other DVDs. Heh, I remember when I got Movie 9. I got it in the edited version, and previously I had seen the clip in japanese where SSjin 2 Gohan kills Bojack. So, the entire movie I was waiting for that awesome scene. But in the edited version after Gohan goes SSjin 2 all he does is rush Bojack and kill him with a punch. I remember being so disappointed and so mad at that same time. I went back to the store and told them that I had gotten the wrong movie and they let me trade it for the uncut version, which shows the entire scene. I was happy, lol. I remember running home from school just to watch an episode. I remember one instance when i got into detention and was afraid that I'll the miss that episode. I remember i was crying and crying, bare in mind i was around 8 years old at the time. But luckily my mum taped that episode, because she new how much i was obsessed with dbz at the time.
