Would you have ended the series sooner than it did? Extended it further than it went? Or would you leave it like it is?

If it were me, I would have ended at the very least when the Cell Games finished. I think the Buu Saga is easily the worst saga in the series and was pretty dumb all around. I feel it ending at the end of the Freiza saga or the Cell saga would have been so much better. Ending it with Goku becoming the legendary super saiyan and saving the universe(though dying in the process due to namek exploding) would have been very fitting, but I also would have been fine with Gohan ending up being the hero at the end of the Cell Games.

What do you think?

I don't know..
I think it would have felt too short with just two big sagas
A general rule I know in writing is that you should have things in 3. it kind of balances things out if you have three things, either in descriptions or scenes or whatever. It just tends to balance things out. So I like the length of DBZ. Maybe if they had gone in a different direction than the Buu saga? I really liked the humor in that saga though.

Technically there still would be 3 if the Cell saga is kept..Saiyan, Freiza and Cell.

Well that's why I said 3 big sagas. The saiyan saga and garlic jr saga and such all seemed really small compared to the Frieza and Cell sagas. Mini-bosses compared to the big boss, you could say

I would have just rewrote the buu saga quite a bit to make people like piccolo more usefull and make the gaps between the saiyans alot lower.

few animes make it to 100 episodes, and that's considered long. Two big sagas would be alright. Anyways I'd end the DBZ at Cell. Gohan got his moment, Picollo was still a respectable character, and you had various scenes where the secondary human characters were useful.

I would rather have it end at the Frieza saga.
Why, you may ask?
Well, I don't know. Just seems like a good place to end it all off.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I can't remember the exact episode but the one at what I consider the end where they're all on the lookout and Goku tells Chi Chi he loves her that or the bit where they are all out the back of the Son household messing around with Vegeta in the background
Reason for that
I *****ing hate Uub! He kills all what 290 episodes before him for me I think its that before he appears anyway
He's such a crappy character so what if he's Buu reincarnated I wouldnt mind so much if he had a more inventive name Buu backwards?
That is pathetic
Plus it's completely unfair that Uub exists all the others had to work to get to where they were but he just gets Buu's power it just annoys me
If they never planned GT for right after DBZ then that is a ***** ending it should be a nice happy ending where they all live in peace not continue to fight that would just bring more evil to earth like it does in GT they should have learnt their lesson shouldnt they
If I had it my way Uub wouldnt exist and Goku would open up a dojo and spend his life training children until he dies peacefully of old age Gohan goes on to be a successful scholar Goten get's married and helps with the dojo Trunk's runs capsule corp with Bulma and Piccolo and Vegeta stay the same mostly but Vegeta becomes more of a family man
That's how it ends in my head

Whoa don't get too angry here steveboy777. It is your opinion but you don't have to do that. Also if you think it's unfair for uub to get his powers what about people like Gohan? He went from a weak ssj2 to well above ssj3 in under 24 hours. Uub also wasn't born with the powers he had to train to get his powers. He is pretty weak in dbz but after 10 years he is above kid buu.

Im perfectly calm lol
He still had to work for it if he never trained at all he could dream of that power all Uub had to do was have a match with Goku and then he got incredibly powerful that aint fair he didn't have to put much work in to anything to get results

Yeah, I really hated the ending of Dragonball Z. Uub really annoyed me. Everything that Steve said I agree with. They should have ended it on a happy note. Even if DBZ had ended at the Cell games, I would have been much happier. Instead, they made Goku look like a douche and everyone else as useless.

Please explain how they made Goku look like a Douche?

The gun that won that old Wild West

I'd say that the Freeza saga was probably the best place for it to end. Not that I had a problem with it going on...

It just seems like a good place for a ending. Goku kills Freeza and avenges the Saiyan race. Goku achieves the legendary Super Saiyan form but is destroyed by his own power, shortly after he achieves the form similar to the original Super Saiyan.

I know that's not exactly how it went but you get the idea... I didn't like how the legendary Super Saiyan transformation became "a child's play thing".

At the end, when he leaves his family to go train Uub, I consider that a douche move. Yes, he did it for the future, but honestly I didn't like it one bit. Cell and Frieza saga were much better with happier ending possibilities.
