In an anime like DBZ it's going to be hard to tell the difference between Caucasian and Asian people unless stated. All I know is that Bardock and King Vegeta sure didn't seem very Asian to me. Especially King Vegeta. Do you see many 6"+ hairy Asians around much? Or you can just say that their neither Caucasian or Asian because their from a different planet thus cannot be from neither Caucasian or Asian descent. I doubt King Vegeta and Burdock were that tall tbh. I don't think Bardock was but I think King Vegeta was. He was huge from what I saw of him, and the DB wiki said 6"2 but I don't know how accurate that is. I think at-least 6" is a good (rough) estimate.

Northern chinese and mongolians are of average height. Why would asians be considered white? being white isnt just a skin color its a culture. You cant make every light skinned person a white person, when calling them white means they are not just from europe but more than likely a certain part. Asians for the most part have brown skin and black hair with slanted eyes, hardly white. The eastern most have lighter skin than most as everyone evolutionizes differently depending on where you live. The same is true for africa as really the only part of africa real black skinned people come from are on the equator. Everyones else skin is either a creme or dark brown. Asians dont really burn in the sun as they dont actually have a lack of melanin like most whites do. Im not jumping down your throat or anything, just being factual, otherwise, if being white was just a skin color then yes, most asians would be considered white. Ive met white skinned and dark brown skinned japanese, chinese, vietnamese, filipino, the list goes on. Every race has people that are different in skin tone, by your definition alot of "blacks" could be considered white too.

You dont see to many asian gingers walking around lol. But yeah its pretty clear that despite looking caucasian Goku is supposed to look asian. I think the only popular anime character that is supposed to be american is Naruto. Actually Id say a lot of Naruto characters are caucasian.

Oh, I don't know I just don't consider them asian or anything.

As for goku I think he looked a bit asian when frieza was drowning him under water. Come to think of it didn't everyone look a bit more asian in early DB?

That Yamcha and Tien, as well as Yajirobe, Chi Chi, Roshi, and Videl were Asian. To me Chaozu was meant to come off like a China doll and that Hercule was meant to be a light skinned black guy with the Afro and all.

Chrome Favourite Manga Seven Deadly Sins, Food Wars, Onepunch-Man	I think that most anime characters are purposefully made to look different than any ethnicity, either so the entire world can comfortably watch characters that hold no allegiance to one country, or just because it looks good. Also, I dunno if you've ever drawn manga, but it is ridiculously hard to draw ethnic features onto a character, so that might also be the case.

Goku is no different. As a matter of fact, gokus heavy influence is chinese. So he could be that. Just saiyan. Look at Ichigo kurasaki and Naruto Uzumaki, Just saiyan. ichigo's whole family looks japanese but him. After awhile you can start to tell who looks more asian and who doesnt. sorry to say alot of the protaganists always look typically MORE european, and the bad guys usually look more asian, unless its an anime with nothing but pretty people in it. You know, golden tans and blonde hair. Dark hair with a purple tint. Alien colored green hair with luscious boobs, fangs. The guys get the same treatment. Even the blacks dont get afros in pretty people anime, debonair, suave, handsome, that's the description, all with aquiline type features. Just saiyan. bad guy ninjas are ALWAYS recognizably asian. Kind of insulting if you ask me.

Posts: 1,922 Group: Member Member #7,745 Joined: June 11, 2012	He definitely looks white in his SSJ forms. I think he looked more Asian in DB as Base then anything else. The show was pretty weird as far as the timeline goes.
