Well I was wondering what would happen if the human characters of Dragonball Z trained often. Could they ever reach the level of an SSJ or do they have to be naturally gifted like Uub? |

We know Tenshinhan trained throughout the entirety of the series. Krillin trained 80% of the time up until the Cell Games, when he stopped. Yamcha never trained unless a huge threat was coming. I'd say it's a nigh impossibility that the humans ever reached Super Saiyan levels of power. The weakest recorded Super Saiyan power level was 150,000,000. Personally, I don't see even the Saiyans reaching that amount of power in Base until after their RoSaT training, which the humans didn't go through. I just don't see the humans reaching such high levels of power when it took the Saiyans harder and more efficient training to get that powerful. Edited by Pyrus, Mar 30 2011, 12:40 AM.

the weakest ssj was future trunks's initial transformation. he was weaker than future gohan's base, who was around yardrat goku. that means that as an ssj, future trunks was maybe 4 million, tops. i think every human passed that, even chiaotzu and yamcha. |

Yeah I do see your point. What if the humans had trained in the hyperbolic time chamber like Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks did? Would that even increase their power significantly? I know when they were getting ready for Vegeta and Nappa they had some training with Kami and Mr. Popo in the chamber. I mean I remember the humans in the series training somewhat, but they weren't as dedicated as Goku and Vegeta. We didn't see Tien enough to know what exactly he was doing with his training. I remember Yamcha trying to train in high gravity, and he wasn't able to do it, yet he wasn't as dedicated to training as the other humans. I don't know. It is why I am looking for some answers. It seems the humans didn't train the same types of ways as the saiyans did. Edited by Pookie, Mar 30 2011, 12:53 AM.

I'm sorry to be off topic, but I keep seeing you guys say "rosat". What does that mean? I figure it's acronym for something but I just can't figure out for what. I did a google search but I couldn't find anything. |

I'm not sure. They probably would make a good increase in power, but the RoSaT is only 10G, the same amount of gravity on Kaio's planet. They wouldn't really benefit from the gravity, but if they went in with partners they would probably make great gains.
I don't think that was the RoSaT. I think that was a special room or something. If it was the RoSaT, it was definitely filler.
Tenshinhan trained all the time as far as we know. It doesn't appear to be heavy training all the time given he's got different types of clothing on at different points, but we know he's training. He's always shown a knack for training, and so has Krillin to a lesser extent, but Yamcha never really had the dedication. In Krillin's case, he might've had just as much dedication to training as Tenshinhan did, but then he got together with No.18 and had a child, so that probably heavily influenced his decision to stop fighting and grow his hair back. So who knows; maybe if he hadn't gone that route, Krillin would've been training continuously just like Tenshinhan.
That was filler. If I'm remembering correctly, he tried getting into the chamber with 300G, which Vegeta was training in at the time, and it almost killed him. I would say at the time, anybody not accustomed to that level of gravity would be on their knees at least, even Goku.
All they really had was normal Earth training and partner training. The Saiyans had a gravity chamber and Otherworld collectively.
It means "Room of Spirit and Time." That's the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for English dub people. |

Okay so putting all what you said in perspective. What if the humans had undergone the same kind of training that the saiyans did like gravity and the otherworld? Would they have been able to reach new levels of power. Would Tien, doing what he was already doing, have increased significantly? |

Well Imo no not really unless they get the mystic stuff gohan has or has the ROSAT. Also tien has an attack that pushed back semi perfect cell so that attack is atleast a ssj level attack. |

so, what your asking is if the filler character olibu makes any sense? a human that is as powerful as an mssj. sure, given that he had 2,000 years to do it in. i actually have a theory on this. you know how every race has it's advantages? the nameks can regenerate and fuse, the saiyans get zenkais and can transform, the icers are born with absolutely huge powers, etc. well, i think the humans advantage is high potential. remember how the halfbreeds all had this huge potential, to the point that with even a decent amount of effort, they could blow past even the most dedicated saiyan? well. they didn't get that potential from the saiyans, so where'd it come from? i think it comes from the human side of them. any human fighter that had periodic access to guru, babidi, or old kai would be able to keep up with the saiyans at least as well as piccolo did. |

I don't see why SSj should be specific to saiyans now obviously the Super Saiyan part is not for humans but humans should have some kind of transformation too they all have amazing potential(those that train) and they all get angry so why not? Surely at least Tien got past Gokuu's base when he transformed so why couldnt he just get some transformation Maybe every race can go Super just not Super Sauyan and Saiyans are the only ones who find a way If the humans can do things like Roshi's power up when he gets all bulky I dont see why their bodies couldnt handle a transformation obviously they couldnt just rip off the golden hair but they could easily do another series with Trunks Goten Gohan Pan Videl maybe Chi Chi Piccolo Dende etc etc and some human characters ho could then rise up to be as strong as the saiyans It would be pretty cool to see a few humans who all have unique transformations maybe get a transformation for speed one for strength, defense, size, power(as in energy waves) and then they could have the ultimate form which is all those things The human part is clearly what triggers the transformation Its accessed through great emotion which saiyans rarely feel Goku may aswel have been human after hitting is head as a child that emotion he learned as a human is what would have propelled him in to the ranks of the Super Saiyans of legend If that was Vegeta and Frieza blew him up he'd have just been like hmmph never liked that baldy anyway Yes Vegeta doesnt have that emotional side a human like saiyan does but without it he wouldnt have got SSJ if Goku was never like that he wouldnt have pushed himself to be like him so that doesnt count Lost track of what im talking about now lol eh... Yeah to answer the question Yes they could in reality if there was a saiyan race and they can do that there's no reason that humans couldnt If our races are similar enough to breed successfully we can't be all that different |

i don't think humans transform. roshi's max power "form" was simply ki weighting, like assj, ussj, and cell's buff form. these aren't true transformations, but simply a technique that alters the way ki flows through the body, like the kaioken. humans, however, have been shown to have large amounts of hidden power, on par with, or even exceeding that of a halfbreed of equal base power. so, if a human managed to learn how to release potential, like guru did, then they would easily keep up with the ssjs, and maybe even the ssj2s. |
