I've mentioned this once or twice elsewhere. It's starting to annoy me. I think I have a sollution but other advise is welcome. I have the Dragon Age Origins expansion called Awakening for the PC. Problem is, after about 1 hour of play it shuts off and I get a message saying it's stopped working. This has happened with other programs before. Is the reason and the sollution always the same? I'm going to try using the original Dragon Age Origins disk since I think it could be a read error. Well that didn't work. Turns out I now need to use the Awakening disk which I believe could be faulty. FAIL. Edited by Pelador, Mar 27 2011, 01:57 AM.

Are there any official patches you need to download or something like that? Also, when it stops, does it just crash to the desktop without an error or anything? |

It just goes back to the desktop and a message comes up telling me it stopped working and had to close. There might be patches available. If it does it again I will have a look. |

You should search your problem on a support forum for that game. It's your best bet to getting it fixed. For instance, my character would get stuck rendering the world and on the loading screen when I tried to log in for WoW. I looked for some support posts and I found one that allowed me to enter a terminal code in the chat. It fixed it instantly. |

Problem solved. All I had to do was open it using the exe file instead of the launcher. |

Sounds like you have a cracked game. Also drivers have a huge impact on crashes sometimes |

Nah it's all proper. It would be interesting to know why it works when I use the .exe file instead of the launcher. I'm not complaining though. Nearly finished it now and then it's time to move on to Crysis 2. |
