Ok so why should we have to wait a month to appeal a warn.
Whats a month. Honestly. it does not make any sense.

Totally agree. I think it should vary on what the warning was. Like a double post should be week long and a spam should be 2 weeks and so on and so forth.

why does it matter though? Unless you have so many warnings it results in a ban. It's not like you lose any privileges from having a warning.
kamizake pyro is a girl? olsiw

For me, my warnings mean I'm less likely to brake the rules again as long as they're there. I'm sure if they were there for less time I would have broken many more rules by now. They definately act as a good deterent for me.

Just like in life you don't want something you did to be put in you permanent record now would you? You want it to go off eventually. That's what I mean.

Yeah, that does happen though, just wait like the rules say you should. None of you have anything to complain about, I've never seen a site that has a system like this before, just be patient and enjoy.

We aren't obligated to even allow members to appeal warnings, before they where just removed if a member of staff felt like it and still then only if it's older than a month, this rule is the one staff have followed for a long time with regards to warnings.

I don't see what the problem is though, what is a month is also an argument against not changing lower.

But really, how do we know if you aren't going to go back and commit the same offence after 2 weeks? The warnings act as a way to inform you that you broke a rule and an indicator to the mods that you did, so we're looking for an improvement in the user, is 2 weeks enough to see that? Doubtful.

This, privileges are usually only lost for more serious/repeat offences, action for minor offenses might take place at around 50%.

Warn appeals was added so you could request it to be looked into after a month had past, I can remove the section as quickly as it was added and we'll go back to the old method of, if a moderator can be bothed, if you would prefer.

When the warn level is decreased, the log of the warnings still remain, no member gets a clean slate, there are staff members with warnings from when they where members, their level is 0% but the logs of rule violations are still there, just as a history.

ok but what im saying is why does a month matter.

and in my case it wont happen again because it was an accident.
thats besides the point.

i know you dont have to let us have a warn appeal but whats the difference between 1 day and 1 month.

sorry i did the offence please forgive me thats all an appeal is.

im not arguing to have it lowered just dont have a time restriction at all.

Also. this is not my forum im not in charge and to be honest i have absolulty no say in the choice making here. im just a member trying to state a point. i find the way problems are solved here very civilized.

(I really enjoy the Board of admins here)

This was just me purely letting you guys know my point of view. Whether it matters or not

The reason it is a month is to get an idea of if/how the user has changed their behaviour.

Understandable.

Can we just close this thread and say i Respectfully Disagree with this policy but will follow it with no more fuss
