Well i've heard that he was supposed to end it a frieza saga, but due to the fans reaction he carried on. And then dbz was supposed to end at cell saga, but he carried it on again for no apparent reason. I think that just because its set up/or seems like its set up so that it could end at certain points, that people believe it was meant to. |

Well for proof just look at some of the endings such as the Frieza finally. It shows goku explode with the planet then later he all of a sudden says in the android saga "yeah I thought I was dead but then found a space pod. And how could king Kai not since him when he was a ssj until he landed on the alien planet? Also how could frieze survive the planet explosion, he was so hurt. He even said that he would barely survive at full power. |

It's just for the plot. You gotta remember Dragon Ball Z was an 80's manga to my knowledge. Back then people didnt worry about contradictions or plot holes like they do now, people are just to picky if you ask me. Not everything has to make sense. You can't always have a logical explanation for everything otherwise you'll end up confused. |

Must've read it wrong. Plus, I was reading comments about when people were talking about when Goku was returning to Earth and telling everyone that he found a sudden Space Pod. Must've taken my comment from there. |

Absolutely! If that were the case, it would have ended with chapter 1, no ifs ands or buts. Also, thank you for the earlier link. While I may still play around with the idea of DBZ ending at Frieza, I now know that there's no official proof. Ugh. I hate admitting I was wrong to you. |

While I don't have any physical proof that shows that it was supposed to end in certain places, Dragon Ball Wiki has repeated numerously that the original end of DBZ was supposed to be at the Frieza Saga. The way many events went to place had not just given feeling towards an original end, but the fact that there was so much build up over Frieza's defeat only to be tossed aside to the next saga where Vegeta's son killed him. A bit weird if you ask me. Then, it was said that Akira attempted ending after the Cell Games. Goku saying he didn't want to come back, the fact that he went so much about how Gohan now being protector of the Earth and most of the Z Fighters quitting made it look too much like Goku and the story was suddenly brought back into the fray out of nowhere. And let us not talk about GT Oh, and don't hate on me too much if I sound stupid in any way, I'm too knew at Dragon Ball forums to be too good in a Dragon Ball argument |
