you might want to try the Circle first, if you can still move away. Its considered easier that Redcliffe. plus you get a healing mage there.

@pelador. Reason PC games are cheaper is because they dont require you to pay royalties to console manufacturers

Also, Dragon age 1 for PC > 360 and Ps3.. they were really *****ty ports

Yeah. It looks pretty amazing on my PC with my Radeon 6870 graphics card. Just wish I was more proficient at these types of games. I'll see how I do when I aquire a healer.

I started playing this for the first time today. It's Soooo different that I can't really compare it to Origins. I mean literally everything has changed. It's more like a hack and slash, God of War type game now than an RPG. I don't mind but it caught me off gaurd a bit. I was like hmm, this is new. I'm not sure it'll have the replayability of the first one but it still seems pretty cool. Also I'm glad all of my codes still work despite the box saying they expired last week. Now I can get Blood Dragon Armour and Isacc Clarke Armour. Coolio.

awesome : )
Yeah, DA2 is a lot different... the combat is a lot faster too. There are some pretty cool battles though.
Are you the type to do all the sidequests and stuff? You might miss out on some party members if you leave the first chapter without doing all the sidequests, just so you know

I always do as many sidequests as I can. So I don't usually miss things. I'mn still getting used to it though. I can't believe how different it is. That's a good thing though. There would be no point in making it the same. Otherwise they might as well just release another expansion.

Yeah, I agree
I just wish they had been a little more consistent with story choices. I keep hearing that even if you killed Zevran and Leliana they still show up in DA2. And apparently there's some bug with Zevran's dialogue if the Warden was in a relationship with him. It's suppose to be different dialogue, but it doesn't always show up or something.

But I think my biggest problem.. is how the elves look. I like that they were trying something different, but I think that was the wrong direction. And they totally screwed over Zevran's good looks *sigh*

But I suppose if that's my main problem then the game is pretty great lol although I am easy to please.

Where are you in the game now?

Not very far. I've just got off the boat at that city where they won't let anyone in. I like how they changed Flemeth. At first I thought it might be the Archdemon but then she transformed. Kate Mulgrew, who is just pure win still does her voice. Which is good.

So I just finished the Deep Roads and my bloody sister got infected by the darkspawn. Is that preventable? She was a kick ***** mage. As much as I like the Dalish girl with her cute Welsh accent, I don't imagine she really compares to the raw power of my sister. As for the other mage, I dunno. He looks powerful enough but I haven't really tried him out. He was good in the previous game though. If the little Welsh elf isn't good enough then I suppose I'll try using him. :)

Your sister pretty much leaves your party at this stage, but there's two ways to prevent her from dying from the infection. Either leave her in town, or take Anders with you into the Deep Roads as well. If you just bring Bethany then she'll die. But the other two ways she leaves your party, but comes back much later.

Anders really isn't a bad mage, plus he has a party healing spell on his personal skill path. I used him as a replacement for Bethany myself.

My biggest problem with this game after my 2 playthroughs was the fact that there is 0% replayablitity in my humble opinion. The fact that the ending the same always and story choices don't have any effect on the outcomes are really downgrading the game. Dragon Age Origins was all about the choices, while this seems to be all about the action. I also hate the fact that enemies just spawn anywhere, it defeats tactical placing especially on nightmare. Last thing to add is the fact that the game gives no closure on the open endings of origins.

I still like DA2 but not as much as origins. Rant ova...

Same. This game seems to have been made for a broader market than the previous one. Which usually means it lacks something. I also don't like how all the dungeons are exactly the same. It's lazy on the designers part. One final thing that I don't like are the traps. I don't like to use rogues since having two mages is more effective. So I tend to walk into anything which bottlenecks the path and this means most of my team gets crippled.
