DBZ Raging Blast 3; Should they make a third one

People want everything, that's the problem.

I mean, sure we'd all love a Dragonball game with every show from Dragonball - Dragonball GT, with every movie in the story, with every bad guy being a playable character, with all new moves, stories, cut scenes in between, every fight getting fulfilled, etc.

But the thing is, that would take FOREVER to make, how bad would that hurt their market? Now, if they make something new with a Dragonball Z game like instead of the regular story mode, making it a totally different story like basing the whole game on a movie, then people get mad and ask for story mode, if they include story mode, people say "it's the same old stuff over and over", stop blaming them. Maybe when you grow up and become a video game producer, you can ask for the rights and make it however you want it to be..

Well good on you if you know how to combo. You're one of the few. I met a guy on Xbox today who was actually good, we had some great matches...and talked about how most people are so clueless with the game. He was the first person I fought in about a week who could actually play. Most of the time people quit on me...in non-ranked matches.
Most people just play the game casually, Psyant. I remember one guy called me a "try hard" for beating him. I almost cried... okay, not really.
It's not like I even no-life it, though. I play a few hours or less on most days, and that's as my most played game. Most of them you see me on it I'm not actually at the 360 lol, I tend to leave it away a lot.

I still only have like 700 battles online, some of you lot that only had the game for a few weeks have more battles then that on ranked alone, and I barely play single player outside of training.

I just don't see why so many people seem to be unable to grasp the combat system. It's not like I'm anything special. Everyone should be able to play as well as me if they practice a bit, or at the very least be able to do some combos...

Nice to see you here by the way.

Psyam, do you think that an RPG version of DBZ would work? I personally think they need to take new risks and explore different areas. I'm kind of tired with the same old stuff they do every year.
I'm all for other types of DBZ games, but I don't think they should stop making the Tenkaichi games. They change the combo system every game, improve the graphics, add characters...why is this unacceptable when many established game series like Call of Duty, Halo and many fighting games change less each game then Spike do with their games? BT3, RB1 and RB2 are all completely different in how they play if you're good at them. I love the Tenkaichi/RB series, so I wouldn't give it up for something else.

I'd rather a game with Tenkaichi's fighting system, but where you can fly around the world and talk to people and visit places as well. As a story mode type of thing.
lol, yeah, Majin Killers had the whole addon system figured out a week into the game. It wasn't all that hard to figure out what followed into what... I have like less than 300 battles I think, I haven't touched my XBox in ages though. The game got old too fast for my walet's comfort. I really wish it was better than it was, I looked forward to getting into it so much.

-.-

And yeah, I was surprised to find you here. Though, now it sort of does make sense, you have always liked Invisionfree. ;)

Yeah, that's very true. I think the graphics in RB2 are perfect, actually. I couldn't imagine a much better 3D representation of the characters. However, that's not everything, and RB2 is far from perfect. Galaxy Mode was a let-down for me, and the fighting system is a bit too simplistic. It keeps my attention though, and allows for about a bagillion "what if?" battles, which is the SAUCE for a huge and loyal DBZ fan such as myself.

Now all we have to do is wait about 15-20 something odd years for a virtual reality DBZ game... then my life shall be complete :3.

i have the second one, and buu's fury. i literally did EVERYTHING in legacy of goku 2. i talked to everybody, got every dialogue, picked up all the capsules (gave them all to hercule, and he still ended up the weakest character), etc. etc.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

for those that blindly follow word of god

Haha same here. God those were great games. Hercule would have been pretty terrible if he didn't have that move that froze people.

Here's an Idea for Raging Blast 3. What if they took some of the original concepts Akira Toriyama had for the manga and use them instead of the original DBZ story? Like in the Buu Saga have Gohan be the main character and let Piccolo become a Majin. Also i'd like to see cutscenes return like they had in the first Budokai game.

Yeah more what if characters would be brilliant I was disappointed with RB2 for not having any new ones, was dying to see SSJ3 Teen Gohan or SSJ Bardock

I think they should just make a game with everything there's not much else they could do everybody is just going to complain about the lack of characters etc
And then put all their focus in to a virtual reality game :w00t: but a good one that works thats the future not 3D

Of course they should make a Raging Blast 3. The question is of course, "will it be good?" But is it so hard to include all the movie characters, their stories, and their attacks? I mean really. They've been milking the series for years. It's time that they finally start making some worthwhile games. And I'm not saying that more characters = better game, although that in itself is actually probably true. What I am saying is that by now many characters like Bido, Bujin, Kogu, Bio-Broly, Turles' crew, [thank God they finally added 14, 15, and the Armored Squad], Garlic Jr's crew [not the Spice faggots], Wheelo's Bio-Warriors, Slug's commanders, etc, should be added. They've been feeding us DBZ for years, and they act like these characters don't exist. I can understand them not being in Budokai and Tenkaichi, but after the first couple frickin trilogies I expect them to be in there.

Anyway, it's not hard for them to make a good DBZ game. I can't see how it would be. All fans mostly want is a great roster, good story, and excellent fighting mechanics. Considering the many games that have been out, by now they should've achieved this. But that's the point, they haven't, leading to the topic in question. Should their be another Raging Blast? I've already stated my answer, but in full explanation here's why: We shouldn't give up hope on this series. As long as video games of DBZ are being made I think we should always look forward to the next one, even though we probably may not get what we want. Because there is always that chance that we will eventually get a worthwhile game. So yeah, I'm down for another one.
