DBZ Raging Blast 3; Should they make a third one

Welp,I can pull off a huge combo often, and normally i only use super attacks for beam struggles, ball barrages are lame, miss easy, and leave you open, beam attacks are easy to dodge,i prefer getting up close, only problem is people who cant play it think your using hack machine,i had that myself,i got a 53 hit combo with vegito,i got a message asking how i did it,and the other guy(It was a team battle) accused me of hacking his game.

Talk about pathetic excuses for bad sportsmanship >:)

Im the kind of person who stuns You,throws you away with a launch attack, and blasts you while you are airbourne, its fair and not button mashing noobiness.I also like spinning you, triping you and pushing you away, flying away while firing small ki balls, and surprise attacking you.

And who doesent love beating a noob in a beam struggle, that should teach em,they never learn though.
I personally like using the basic kamehameha, even if the noobs use your typical "Super" beam attack that fires instantly, and i always beat them,xD.

Well good on you if you know how to combo. You're one of the few. I met a guy on Xbox today who was actually good, we had some great matches...and talked about how most people are so clueless with the game. He was the first person I fought in about a week who could actually play. Most of the time people quit on me...in non-ranked matches.

Honestly, RB2 is really very different in how it's played at an advanced level compared to RB1, as was RB1 compared to BT3.

The problem is almost nobody who plays the games actually understands how they work. They think all you can do is hit one button 5 times for a basic attack string and use supers. Do you know how many people I fight online on RB2 every day that don't actually know how to use smash attacks (gut-punches, turn around moves, trips, up hits, triple kicks, ki push), let alone pull off a decent combo? It's unbelievable. Never have I seen a game series like the Spike DBZ games where 99% of the people who play them don't actually know how to play at all. It's all there in the tutorial, and yet people still think all you can do in the game is use super attacks.

When I use melee combos on people, going as high as the limit of 99 with some characters, I get sent messages saying I'm hacking and cheating!

Spike do their best every game, but they don't know what the fans want because the fans can't actually play their games, so Spike keep trying to change the combo system every game, hoping to get it right, and nobody even notices because they're too busy standing halfway across the stage doing nothing but firing beams!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4Uw0yVOgJ4

Look at what you can do with RB2. Can you do combos like that? Probably not, and that's the problem. Almost nobody can.

It doesn't matter what they do with the DBZ games if people never take the time to learn how to play them.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Here's hoping RB3 will be a great game. I've enjoyed every Spike DBZ game so far immensely.
To be honest I have no idea how to pull off half that stuff in Raging soul mode. What I want to know is how the computers in Raging soul mode can knock you around like a pinball and it's almost impossible to get out of it.

I do a lot of these though - smash attacks (gut-punches, turn around moves, trips, up hits, triple kicks, ki push.

In raging soul I batted around a guy for around 82 hits,he actually sent a complaint to the developers saying i had hacked, after he explained it they actually said he should stop whining and learn to play their game! It was quite funny.

The only person I have even battled more than once that could even get me down to 3 life bars(Thats 2 life bulbs above the bar),actually beat me 4 times, and only because he could do decent combo's,like outside of raging soul he smacked me around for 59 hits,of course that didnt slow me down and i went SSJ and pounded him,im sure he regretted picking bardock for that........xD

I guess you're right. But I still believe that there is huge room for improvement in the DBZ games.

Psyam, do you think that an RPG version of DBZ would work? I personally think they need to take new risks and explore different areas. I'm kind of tired with the same old stuff they do every year.

EDIT: And also, I'd just like to point out that while I'm not an expert at combo's as you are, I could pull off a 20 hit one. But you're brilliant at the game.
Lol, and at the end Goku says "Even if it gets rough, I'm loving every second of it."

I just lol'd at that.

@Trunks - Yeah it would be Hatchiyack.

An RPG version would work fine. Just look at how well Attack of the Saiyans works. Aots has turn based combat so I wouldn't expect a console version of DBZ to be turn based. But the RPG elements work great.

Yeah, I totally agree LC.
What lunar2 described would work perfectly in my opinion. And all of the DBZ fans would buy it, another plus side is that there is so much room to explore in the world of DBZ. They could do so many different things with the gaming franchise, but insetad they constantly stick to the same core every time.

Most people just play the game casually, Psyant. I remember one guy called me a "try hard" for beating him. I almost cried... okay, not really.

It's not like I even no-life it, though. I play a few hours or less on most days, and that's as my most played game. Most of them you see me on it I'm not actually at the 360 lol, I tend to leave it away a lot.

I still only have like 700 battles online, some of you lot that only had the game for a few weeks have more battles then that on ranked alone, and I barely play single player outside of training.

I just don't see why so many people seem to be unable to grasp the combat system. It's not like I'm anything special. Everyone should be able to play as well as me if they practice a bit, or at the very least be able to do some combos...

Nice to see you here by the way.

I'm all for other types of DBZ games, but I don't think they should stop making the Tenkaichi games. They change the combo system every game, improve the graphics, add characters...why is this unacceptable when many established game series like Call of Duty, Halo and many fighting games change less each game then Spike do with their games? BT3, RB1 and RB2 are all completely different in how they play if you're good at them. I love the Tenkaichi/RB series, so I wouldn't give it up for something else.

I'd rather a game with Tenkaichi's fighting system, but where you can fly around the world and talk to people and visit places as well. As a story mode type of thing.

Psyam makes us gamers proud xD

Really though,I slightly prefered the attack controls of RB1 to RB2,i mean,i prefer 123 trip,1234 upward hit A,12345 A, ^ X than the new one in RB2:
123 trip upward smash Y/X/A/B,like Goku's,he hits them.trips them, two feet kicks them, then leaps up and does a 10 hit combo,I prefer the RB1 version, more damage, longer, might not look as cool but more affective.
