ssj; what if its not a constant multiplier

now we all know that goku increased his power by 147 million against frieza, and it is commonly assumed that it was a flat 50x multiplier, but what if it was simple addition? 3+147=150 just the same as 3x50=150. this would explain how ssj vegeta was just a little stronger than goku who was struggling with 19, but piccolo was stronger than 20 who was also stronger than 19. and how ssj 2 gohan was 40% of the energy needed to wake buu, but base gohan goku and vegeta were more than enough to make up the other sixty percent.

I believe Akira said himself that it was a 50 x multiplier.

And hence the name "multiplier" its pretty obvious it is a multiplier and not addition LOL

i don't think goku was struggling against #19, if he didn't have the virus he would of rolled him

I agree with Doodification. The Z Fighters' reactions to the fight as it goes on imply that had Goku not had the virus, he would have won against #19. He would not have let 19 touch him to absorb his energy.

hey just wondering, because buu arc really flipped that upside down and all around. gohan is supposed to be at 100x base when his energy is drained, but base gohan goku and vegeta have more ebergy to drain between the three of them then ssj 2 gohan.

How do they? I don't understand how you got to that conclusion honestly. I mean, I'm not trying to be an *****, I'd actually like to know since I'm so confused right now, haha.

As for the topic, I go against the constant Super Saiyan multiplier in later arcs, specifically the Boo Arc where it seems Super Saiyan has the least boost in power IMO. During the Freeza Arc and up until the Cell Games, I have it at least 30x. After that, hoo boy, anything goes.

remember, when yamu and spopovitch drained gohan, the energy they took only brought the meter on buu's ball up to a little under half, but babidi made a comment about goku gohan and vegeta having enough energy to finish the job, and they were in base at the time, so goku gohan and vegeta in base> ssj2 gohan

Yes, I agree. The multiplier certainly changes over the course of time, since much training is done while the Saiyans are in Super Saiyan, making the forms stronger, thus making the multiplier larger.

At Lunar: What the heck dude are you talking about? There is no way that base Saiyans, even 20 of them put together could be as strong as an SSjin 2.

Why do we all choose to look down on the actual fact that we should not be counting power levels after frieza arc. Yet u guys are hurting ur brains here trying to figure out each other's "OPINIONS".

How about WE DO NOT KNOW MULTIPLYER OR POWER LEVELS DURING BUU ARC, because it was never stated in the anime nor the mango.

Let's just go with who beat who and how hard was it...
This whole power level thing is really irritating.

Which is weird and/or nonsensical because there's no way Base Teen Gohan combined with his father and Base Vegeta could have enough energy to even rival his SSj2 form.

unless, by that time, ssj2 is around 3x base

Maybe, but that's also the supposed SSj boost, at least for Goku (3.75x exactly). I can't see them having the same multiplier, but that's just me.

well i put goku and vegeta around 50% higher than gohan at that point, so unless they are even stronger than that by a large margin, ssj2 gohan is only around 3x base, or this is another example of "toriyama just dont care no more" syndrome

I can understand your confusion Lunar, but i'm not entirely sure on the matter, i think 'ol hybrid is right, i don't think strength and power are calculated by simple math

THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE
4^5+87x6/5+3221-654x22344-$1000
