Why do you think that the humans of dbz are so useless. It dosen't make much sense was goku's zenkia so large that he blew them in the dust? Was king kais training watered down why is it that they could'nt learn the kaioken/Genki Dama?

Cause, in DBZ they are a weak fighting race. An average human fighter without special training like Krillin, Yamcha or Tien is weak.
Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

That is what is weird in dragonball goku and krillin were quite close together.

Pretty much dude. The power of the humans could only go so far. Now, technically, we could count Uub, but he was Buu reincarnated, so he had a lot of undeveloped power.

Yah, he seems to be the strongest one. Yamcha and Krillin stopped training after the Cell Saga, but Tien didn't. Who knows how strong he became. Maybe he could take on Freeza.

I just realized why the humans seem so weak. It is because they have no transformations just imagine if tien had kaioken in the sayian saga. Also if you think about it tien in the android saga is about 40%of trunk's base. He was able to follow android #20 and yamcha's fight while in the frieza/namek saga he would'nt be able to even see frieza move.

well, it is debateable, but i consider roshi powering up to be a transformation because he actually grows significantly taller. that form would be useless in a fight though, unless you used a tank style. just stand there and shoot homing attacks, and keep a barrier up.

After SSJ was introduced and all the saiyan characters achieved, the humans got heavily phased out. In terms of skill and fighting prowess, Tien, Yamchan and Krillin are formidable. In terms of power though they are completely outclassed when the higher levels of SSJ are introduced.

Examples from the Cell era.
*Tien when he used the Kikōhō/Tri-Beam to hold Cell back in his semi-perfect form. He nearly killed himself using that technique at full power like he did but he did manage to stall Cell.

* While not the most canon ex. but a testament to his ability, Tien's fight with Trunks in Bojack Unbound. Trunks used SSJ to beat Tien. Before transforming the fight was pretty equal on both sides.

actually, trunks had a clear advantage that whole fight, he just needed ssj to finish it.

That fight's completely messed up. Tenshinhan's Shin Kikoho manages to hold back Semi-Perfect Cell, yet SSj Trunks flies right through it. Haha. Nothing in that fight makes any sense compared to what we already saw in the manga/anime.

well remember, for trunks its been 4 years since the cell games, even though he looks the same. so it only makes sense that he would be much more powerful than semicell, since he was already much more powerful than semicell.

So, anyway...

Goku leaves everyone in the dust (humans, to pertain to your question) for a few reasons:

1. Aforementioned, he's a saiyan, he's bred to fight.

2. Goku pretty much practices survival skills his whole life. He never has, let's say, a BED until he settles down. Even when Krillin trains for th 22nd World Tournament, he still has some luxury items.

3. Goku goes through the multiple tarinings before everyone else, with the exception of Master Roshi. He goes to Korin first (both times.) He goes to Kami first. He goes to King Kai first.

(What's funny about this is that it seems like the humans got more out of the training than Goku. Look at Kami's training. Goku could not have come out of it with more than his 334 power level at the Raditz fight. In preparation for the Saiyans, though, the other characters all had around 1000.

4. He has those damned SSJ's...

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

I don't believe in power levels after the Frieza Saga. :D
Now, there's an idea.
