What would happen if Tien was at the tournament where the whole Majin Buu thing started. What kind of changes do you think he would make if he was there at the time? Things like he might of been able to help Gohan with destroying Buu before he was unleashed or help with fighting him in the first place. Obviously it's nothing drastic but I'm just wondering. |

He'd get turned to stone by Dabra then he'd return to life when Boo eats Dabra. He'd be no use AT ALL, just like Krillin and to a lesser extent, Piccolo. I mean, Piccolo of all people, got shafted. If anything thinks Tenshinhan would've done anything, they'd have to be thinking he's stronger than Piccolo. |

Well, Piccolo is undeniably stronger than Tien and was useless, of course Tien has his hax move, but from what I've seen in DBZ that move only pushes opponents away and does little to no damage at all, so basically no change whatsoever. |

no, even master roshi admits that the tribeam is many times more powerful than the kamehameha, and tien is the only person to master it. tien has a knack for mastering impossible techniques like the tribeam and the evil containment wave. he is the only person to use the second technique successfully and survive it. the reason you see those in dbz that are not massively injured by the tribeam is because they are that much more powerful than tien, or, like against nappa, tien only had one arm and was already near death, so he couldnt use it properly. nappa would have been dusted by a full power tribeam, there is no dodging it, there is no blocking it. |

list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

The Kikoho is a kiai-type move, meaning it moreso pushes than damages. I'm not saying it wouldn't kill, but it wouldn't be something instant like a Kamehameha or Final Flash. |

yes true the tribeam cannon is extremely powerful, and even though tein is a strong fighter is is extremely weak compared to the post ssj fighters. sorry tien if picollo was mad into stone by dabura then so would you |

I love Gohan and Videl Dragon ball Z Forever "Guardian of the city, I am the one and only...Great Saiyaman!" - Gohan "Fight you? No, I wanna kill you." - Gohan to Super Buu "It will take more than head games to stop me! You may have invaded my mind and my body, but there's one thing a Saiyan always keeps...HIS PRIDE!" - Vegeta "There's no such thing as fair or unfair in battle. There is only victory, or in your case, defeat." - Vegeta "Servant woman, bring me a drying cloth at once!" - Vegeta "I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good! Nightmare to you!" - Goku

Maybe Tien would've drawn the number 2 ball and fought Krillin in the first round. We could see the worlds strongest humans go at it. As for the Majin Buu thing, I say nothing would've changed. By this time DBZ is really just "The Super Saiyan Show". Which is why all other characters got pushed into the background. Piccolo was one of the hardest MF's in the entire series, from DB all the way to the end of the Cell Games. By Buu's time he's reduced to taking sh*t from Gotenks. Despicable man. I disagree. Remember at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai it instantly wiped out the arena and made a crater so deep you couldn't see the bottom. The ground wasn't displaced it was completely vaporized. And it's not a hax the reason it's so powerful is because it's the only attack in dbz that directly draws from the user's life force. Of course he still wouldn't be much help in the Boo saga. Maybe he could've killed Babidi with a kikoho, but I'm not sure how strong Babidi's barrier is. Piccolo was able to shatter it with relative ease, yet it was able to protect what was left of him from Majin Vegeta's self-explosion. |

Well, yeah, but that's what the Daizenshuu lists it as, and they have every other attack right, so I won't question it really. And I guess it just becomes more kiai-ish against stronger people that aren't arena rings. Lol. |

I hate to say it, but he wouldn't of made much difference, i like Tien as a character, but he either would have been turned to stone, or slapped by buu, or turned into choccy |

That's true. Honestly, without his stupid Kikoho, Tenshinhan would be as useless as Yamcha. |

I think the one thing in the Buu Saga he did do was important though. When Buu finds out about Dende's healing powers he shoots to kill him and for some reason Gohan can't react quick enough because he just got shot at so Tien cuts the blast off therefore saving Dende and saving the dragon balls. So I would actually like to change the question a little. What if Tien didn't show up to save Dende? Things would get screwed up for sure then. But I'm sure people will just say if he didn't then Gohan would have....... so whatever. |
