 i thought that old kai's magic was similar to guru's where it made you the strongest you could have gotten through training at that moment, but also took any transes you have and condenses them down into base. so if gohan had trained for those seven years, the only way he would be more powerful as ultimate would be if he learned ssj3, then hed be about 4x as powerful as ultimate, but other than that, training would have made no difference in his power, it would have only maintained his skill. definitely not enough to make up the difference between him and buutenks, although it might be enough to survive until buucolo, but thats a different versus.

The Guru only unlocked some of Gohan´s potential not all.
Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

 I feel like lunar2 is right: Gohan's full potential was completely unlocked by elder kai. He was stronger than SSJ3, which is remarkable in and of itself.

So I dont think any extra amount of training would help bring his potential up. Bootenks would still win.

^ No, it can´t come up anymore, its just his limit in potential the rest he must do alone.
