 They could be the same strength. If Future Cyborg #17 had said he was using exactly half his power against Gohan, then they'd be weaker. But since he said "less" than half his power, we don't know.

True, they did own everybody in seconds. But we don't know if the Future Cyborgs couldn't do that either, since we never saw them fight seriously until Trunks came back from the Cell Games.

We don't know how much strength #17 was using when he beat the others though. Kind of sucks.

Oh, and here's what Trunks and Gohan say, when Gohan talks about Goku.

Trunks: "You know what my mom said, Gohan? It startles her every time she sees you in that Gi, 'cause you look so much like your dad!"

Gohan: "I made it hoping it would make me as strong as dad was before he died... But I guess it's not just the clothes."

So yeah, I'm pretty sure he's talking about strength there. When Gohan arrives to fight the Cyborgs...

Cyborg #17: "It's been a while, Gohan. A whole year, hasn't it? I'm amazed you escaped alive after all that..."

Gohan: "I've been training hard. You won't beat me this time. It's your turn to lose!"

Cyborg #17: "Our turn? ...Heh heh heh... Sorry to disappoint... But I didn't even use half my power last time."

Gohan: "...What...!?"

Cyborg #17: "I won't let you escape this time... You're dead!"

SSj Future Goku (time of death) > SSj Future Gohan (1 year later) > Cyborg #17 (less than half power) > SSj Future Gohan

Future Gohan is weak as piss. Haha.
But think about this.

In History of Trunks, it took the androids quite a while to knock Trunks out of SSJ. And even when 17 shot a beam at Trunks thinking he was dead, he got frustrated after Trunks got back up.

Four years later in the present, it took them two hits to knock out an even stronger Trunks out of SSJ.

The future androids are weaklings compared to their present counterparts.

 That's the anime/movies though. They make the Future Cyborgs look weak, but the manga doesn't.

Nah, he couldn´t even when he would have a arm his power won´t grow and the Androids would still whoop him, still he is awesome.

It doesn't matter. If Trunks said it then it's true. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said it. And the Z fighters can tell how strong someone is by fighting them (without even sensing energy).

But because Trunks was KO'd from two hits from the present androids and KO'd after many more hits from the future androids (even in which 17 showed a sign of frustration when Trunks got back up), it's safe to assume the present androids were a lot stronger.

Besides, we don't even know if Trunks fought 17 & 18 again after History of Trunks within the 3-year training period. Maybe during that time, they went all out against him and he somehow escaped.

I'll take his word for it. The present 17 & 18 beat SSJ Vegeta who trained consecutively for three years straight. Think about how strong Vegeta got from training in the time chamber for a day.

I'll have to look up the fight in the manga then, because I don't think I remember seeing #17 showing frustration. I know he does in the History of Trunks though, but that's whatever.

In the manga, Trunks says (after the androids beat the Z-fighters) "They're different than the cyborgs I'm familiar with.....They weren't that strong...I could fight them both for a while...

We don't know how many times Trunks fought the androids but he said it and it's in both the manga and anime. Therefore, it's true that the present 17 & 18 are much stronger than their future counterparts.
