Well, I've been working out hard, been having good workouts (I know this because I can feel it the next day) so I thought by now that I would be able to lift 165 pounds, the way I see it is I can add 5 pounds to my max every month I will be at 180 by the end of the year, but today me and my friend maxed and I wasn't able to get 165, then I took a break and tried 160 and I kind of did it easier than I thought. So apparently I seem to have hit a bump. I guess he went through the same thing a few years ago he was able to get 170 easily but could never get 175, but then he said once he got past it, it got easier because now he can do 210 pounds as his max. Of course he weighs more than me I think he
s between 145 to 150 while I'm at 100 to 105 but still I don't expect to lift as much as he does, but I still want to achieve my goals and it kind of upsets me I wasn't able to get 165, this means I'm going to work our harder, and not overdo it of course don't want to get hurt or anything.

It's just a small frustration I guess, beats what I lifted my senior year, I started my senior year with my max being 75 pounds while I weighed 100, talk about embarassing, but that was all the way back in 2008 two years ago, graduated my max was still bad 105, then I took a year and a half off of workout so then I started again in December of 09, where my max was 110, so it's not so bad gained a 50 pound max over a year and considering that I did light workouts for half of that year I think I can do better

I'm sure it's perfectly normal to hit a plateau. You just have to keep at it until you surpass it. But I'm sure you allready know this. The same thing happens to me when playing guitar. One week I think I'm never gonna get any better then a few weeks later I am. I couldn't even play Stairway to Heaven at one time. Now it's effortless.

I've started working out recently too. But I don't focus too much on wieghts since it's my body I want to work on rather than my arms. So plenty of sit ups for me :)

I'm working on everything lol, biceps, triceps, abs, chest lol, but yeah I'll eventually get past this bump hopefully. In Modern Warfare 2 I never though I'd get better either, and I have definitely improved haha but yeah it's just a little frustrating haha I really thought I would have 165 this time
