Besides Cell no other zenkai is noted after Namek. Vegeta manipulated the zenkai on Namek by blowing a hole in himself yet for some reason he did not continue this on Earth. He should have replicated what Goku did in 100g except at 300g and with sensu beans and Vegeta may have been stronger than Freeza/SSJ Goku Namek in his damn base.


But this didn't happen. Plot device of course. But Im ok with the logic that SSJ kills zenkais, and that in all actuality zenkais are used to get you to SSJ and that is their purpose.

 cell could achieve super saiyan but continued to gain zenkais, goku increased power by dieing at cell games, in otherworld he went to hell pikkon pwned everybody without powering up then goku beat pikkon at tournament hours after they got back.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

His body is pumped with so much Cells, Its hard to tell how much is Saiyan, If he is really just 1/4 then he won´t be able to go SSJ, Or he would be able to go Oozaru.
Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.

Cell cannot achieve SSJ. He has a SSJ aura. But nothing implies that he went SSJ. Bringing up anime logic to explain canon logic is just the wrong way to do it.


Cell has showns USSJ,USSJ2, SSJ, SSJ2 type or properties. I would not suggest he can exactly use those forms though.


This is similar to me in that Tien cannot use Kaioken. But he can use Kaioken properties for his Shin Kikoho.
