What if Bulma hadn't removed Android 16's bomb? Do you think Cell would have survived 16's detonation and came back as SPC, or would he have been totally destroyed?

It's hard to say but 16 was very confident that he would be totally destroyed but at the same time he did blow HIMSELF up and came back to life so yeah..... |

Well Cell's bomb would have blown up the planet. Whereas 16's would have just made a large crater. Therefore I think it's safe to assume that 16's bomb would not have worked. |

16 would utterly fail and would make an useless sacrifice, Cause Cell would probably regenerate. |

Cell would obviously regenerate. He exploded himself as semi-perfect Cell and survived. So 16's bomb wouldn't work. |

I think Cell coming back to life after blowing himself up was down to dumb luck, as he admitted he was suprised that he survived since his "core" remained intact. If 16's bomb at that close range destroyed Cell's core, it could've worked. Then again, it would just be plain irresponsible for Bulma and her father to leave a bomb in 16 as they were repairing him. |

Agreed, Cell would live. However, I dont think 16 sacrificing himself would be an emotional trigger for Gohan's SSJ2. If he never went SSJ2, there would probably be a huge problem. Cell might not get defeated. And if the bomb blew Cell mostly up, he might come back as SPC, in which case he'd be impossible to stop without a SSJ2. |

Yeah, I agree, Cell would survive, and Gohan would not go ssj2 which would eventually lead to earth's destruction. Then, in this what if timeline,cell would go out into the universe rampaging until he eventually met majin buu, and then get destroyed I assume |

I think Cell would get a small zenkai after the regeneration if #16 exploded and it would be bad news for Gohan to go Super Saiyan 2 to take Perfect Cell down once and for all and Dr Gero's plans will be 100% sucess. |

He was confident that it would destroy Cell and Cell seemed shocked at first when he said he was going to detonate himself and perhaps a little afraid, at least, canon-wise. 16 also seemed confident nobody would survive, but, I think Cell would survive and everyone else would possibly die, so, that'd be it. |

cell would survive but would be damaged long enough for gohan to grab the sensu beans that would have been protected by cells body and revive the z fighters. cells injuries would not be great enough to trigger more than a minor zenkai, but goku would double his power from the severity of his injuries and exhaustion. the "tournament" would become a brawl between the cell team and the z fighters with the adult saiyans cleaning house with the kids and then triple teaming cell. cell would still over power them and gohans shame at his cowardice would once again trigger his rage and transformation and in his uncontrolled state would just blast cell away with the whole team alive and well. i believe this because there is no way the mini nuke in 16 would be powerful enough to harm them with their gaurd up and it would only hurt cell because it is at point blank range and there is no room to raise a barrier. his physical durability would prevent any major damage though, after all even the kienzan cant break his skin. |

16 was pretty confident, and for those precious few moments Cell seemed terrified. Cell was usually known for his poker face -- he didn't show any real emotion while in his Perfect state. I think it safe to say that given this little evidence, 16 would/could have destroyed Cell. |

No way 16's bomb was ever intended in destroying someone as strong as Perfect Cell. 16's whole mission is to destroy Goku. Cell is not even thought about during 16's construction. So 16 just was never built to handle a Perfect Cell level opponent. I doubt if 16 can blow up MSSJ Goku/Gohan with that bomb. |

Keeping in mind that Cell haven't been destroyed by his own self destruction, it would not be possible 16's bomb having a greater result. I think that even Goku's instant transmission kamehameha would have a better effect on Cell. |
